blood sugar was produced well, but californication and by the way suffered from compression issues I think. A lot of people complain about the sound quality of those albums.

Not sure if stadium arcadium has that over-compression issue.

I love the chili peppers though!! I listen to all of their stuff depending on my mood, "old" chilis and "new" chilis are equal in my book

All the new stuff sounds like slick top 40 pop stuff. It sounds right for their objectives. Blood Sugar is really great. Thick bass, guitars sound great. It just works. This old stuff sounds light in the low end. Drums sound weak. I don't know about compression and things of this nature. What are your thoughts on the quality of these older recordings?
