  • People complain about the cost of these products, but the amount of information included (like this official video) is humongous, the company supports you. Also, the cost, is about average to other camera supports, like a nice gimbal head can go for $500, many tripods go into the four digit zone.

  • owhhh...obama in there....

  • Great video.

  • Where do you get/buy the weights used for the steadicam?

    Thanks for any help

    Cisco

  • Best video tutorial ever made!!!

  • I just bought the Cam Caddie Scorpion and it's drastically improved the quality of all my videos. I highly recommend one to anyone interested in smooth shots. It only ran me about $35 on Amazon

  • Awesome video even though you're trying to sell something

  • Its the best instructional video I've ever seen. Intersting, funny, excellent.

    Congratulations!

  • Don't need to spin it quickly!

  • LOL it's like balacing a pensile on your finger ...

Honestly somehow the video is awesome ... xD

  • Yes, it's not bad, but it's ridiculously expensive. I use an eemov stabilizer - they sell it at a fair price. And they also made videos how to balance it correctly.

    I can recommend it guys.

  • lol. the forces that nobody knows of..

  • ITS AWESOME!

  • If you want a stabilizer for pocket camcorders (that fits in your pocket), check out the readysteady

  • 參考用

  • @chi6000 Reference?

  • love the subtitles...ROFL. Great job.

  • 6:36 "show us on the doll,,, err,, skeleton where he touched you" :P

  • what software did you use to make this? and if it's not too much trouble, what kind of pc ran it....well?

  • This is so awesome!!!

  • Great video to understand how a Steadycam works

  • '

    a nice show this video,,,

    more weight and more heavy,,,

a person easily get tired on their arm and hand because of too heavy weight

  • @bestamerica Yes! using small camcorder is not hard but once you start using bigger camcorders or DSLRs it will tire your arm very fast.

  • Hmmm. It's a shame we don't have a dynamic balance for Earth. Neat vid tho. Thx.

  • great video, entertaining, informative, and hilarious

  • 0$ Steadicam from junk

    see youtube

    watch?v=B5FMTjcF2Ng

  • good way to teach....good video

  • HAHAHAHAHAHHAHA LOVED THE FLY!!!

  • This is amazing. Like really, such a good video haha

  • Hahaha, nice demo!

  • way too expensive for what it is rediculous! Good metal fabricator and engineer specs you build one. Sorry guys but pricing is way out

  • NO ONE KNOWS...

  • That was just pure amuzing! Love the humour!!! Thanks!

  • Good like it

  • "Mysterious forces" my ass. It's a simple matter of centripetal forces and moments.

  • Forgot to add, the pilot is amazing. Used an xh-a1 Canon and this thing kicks serious ass.

  • e2etech shove that over-priced steady cam up your cunt...get it all the way up there...faggot

  • Haha. Comment of the year. I agree that stuff is overpriced.

  • Good video, and funny at that!

  • ok videoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • I bet this costs 1000 bucks...the video industry is full of rip-off artists...

U can make the homemade one for $14, does the same fucking job

fuck hollywood and all these over-priced contraptions

  • Costs something around USD 3500. Totally agree with you about the price of film equipment. Just spent 400 bucks on a viewfinder which is essentially a magnifying glass.

  • its fucking horseshit, check out the plastic bag method for stabilizing the cam, I tested this against a $200 stabilizer and the plastic bag results were actually better and more steady...money spent? 10 cents

  • And if you showed up on a Hollywood set with that, you would never get hired again. If you want to make $2000 a year doing pro video work, that method may work for you. But if you want to get hired on sets that get you $200,000 + a year, you'd better suck it up and get the overpriced equipment. It pays for itself in multiples, and it shows that filmmaking is not just a joke to you. Appearance is everything in Hollywood, even behind the camera.

  • My last comment was directed toward jeystonemusic's plastic bag idea. Strange how YouTube arranges comments now.

  • I'm not in faggy Hollywood, I live in the UK..Sorry if I believe in talent/quality over how sexy I appear holding the camera..This is why movies suck now, because of you queers

  • Quality? A plastic bag vs. a CNC machined stabilizer? To each his own, I guess. I believe in talent/quality too. That's why I work 2,000 miles away from Hollywood. Unfortunately, in the US, if you do any type of legit film work, you will have to deal with studios in Hollywood. Otherwise, your work is still considered amateur, no matter how good it is. I don't know how it works in the UK, since the only major film studio I know of is Leavesden, and they work closely with Hollywood too.

  • @StillFramePictures

the plastic bag idea is a bit extreme. But if a ppir man steadycam provides as good as a result, why would they accept it?

  • ur an idiot to buy that, but steadicams are worth their price...

  • @MyWebPresenters Why are you an idiot to buy it?

  • ur an idiot

  • YOU GUYS FUCKING ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • can i make a porn with goats using this contraption?/

  • need an actor?

    ohhhhh

  • this was honestly a solid, and entertaining product demonstration. kudos

  • lol I like how the ruler slaps the finger when balancing the camera.. great video!! It teaches something and is entertaining...

  • super great video!

  • the best video on youtube that explain how balance a stedi....and the funnier!

    Great work!

    An.

    Sicily

  • fun fun fun

expensive toy. ROI is at least 4 to 5 gigs

  • " it may be the most fun your ever allowed to have" Up to that point i thought the vid was useful but you lost me when you said that. This must be a tool for very very sad people.

  • Sad people must use this tool? WTF? Climb back k into your hole and reemerge when you have something useful to say. The guy who did this video would eat your liver, if he ate meat.

  • A vegi silence of the lamb...nice!

this is a helpful vid - but no need to over sell. Even as a joke it is not good to tell me that this may be the most fun I may ever be allowed to have because that suggests likly users are sad gits with little experience of fun.

  • Lol this thing is kinda "fun" to use but it really helps to block out scenes if you are doing narrative work so you dont have to wear it for that long.

  • yeah, awesome, the catch... too expensive! any cheap alternative?

  • Not if you plan on marketing yourself as a professional videographer. If you show up with a home made rig or a cheap altarnative, you won't get the job. Show up with pro equipment, you'll get paid like a pro... TOP DOLLAR. Make sure you larn how to use the steadicam, (at least 40-60 hours of practice just to get comfertable with it.) I know some one that made over $22k on a graduation.

  • The Arm is awesome

    Because...

    IT'S AWESOME!!!!!

    Maybe I'll buy this.

  • Nice video!

  • simply fantastic

  • Heeyyyyy, I have the same camera at 4:36... Except I use glidecam 2000. I'm not saying glidecam is better, but steadicam has full control over weight placement. Glidecam IS great for super tiny cameras like mine... but it lacks the monitor.

  • This is such a funny video lol. Its so true my friend was going crazy trying to balance it perfectly.

  • lol its awesome xD

  • !!!!The most fun is your video!!!!

Thanks for the pleasant 9 min.

  • Very funny and clever video, a BIT pricey though for what it is. Also, it only really has one usage and at $4,595.00, its a massive gamble and you have to make sure youll use it...A LOT

  • Very good, and very expensive.

  • good. Please send me information about price and buying system. thank

  • Nice video.

    Im going to by one.

  • Great video. Educational and funny. I really enjoyed it. Good job boys!

  • I really want to make one from scratch...the only problem i see when building this would be working with the arm and making sure it absorbs what you throw at it...

  • Did the company that makes these really make this video? It's pretty much a "how-to-make-your-own-Steadicam-for-a-lot-less-money" instructional video!

This can be one of my summer projects...

Along with finishing the script I'll need the steadicam for...

  • This is a gem! Nice job. :)

  • very very nice!!!

  • i really am amazed that more people have just built their own units like this.. its not exactly complicated!

  • steadicam operators are always such smart asses.

  • goooooooooooooooooooooooood

    10points

  • how much

  • @lberettal it is expensive...but quite worth the bread...and is an industry standard

  • I love the idea of personal workshops. That's a selling point!!

  • great !!!! so funny !!!

  • Superb n funny!

  • That's good!

  • very nice! thanks for the upload, by far the simplest guide to setting up a steadicam :)

  • awsome
