@AQWsupersayaindragon As I stated in the video there are more practical solutions to survive. The point of this one is that of entertainment. I find it the most enjoyable method to pull off while still being reliable.
@cytanlord Really? Warding against water will never make you wet, and reading some of the comments on other videos lightning storm only hits wet objects.
@AQWsupersayaindragon That is partially true. A water shield will prevent you from getting wet, however lighting actually favors the tallest target it can find, whether it's wet or dry. The only reason being wet causes a problem is because it prevents you from casting any spell that contains the lightning element, such as the lightning shield. As water and lightning cancel each other out you can only cast a shield of one or the other.
@cytanlord Then, a lightning ward, with full lightning would make you invulnerable from all lightning, or you could just use the staff of runes which gives you full invulnerability against lightning.
@AQWsupersayaindragon True, but the issue arises that the lightning shield's duration is too short and expires before the Thunderstorm ends. Being wet would prevent you from recasting it during the storm. The Righteous Rod of Runes is an obvious solution and would be an excellent item to have to survive the Thunderstorm, but may not always be available.
@cytanlord No, not at all. I think you just played on an older patch. The lightning ward at its fullest potential has a duration longer than lightning storm.
@AQWsupersayaindragon This is indeed the case. Even the basic lightning shield is now capable of barely outlasting the Thunderstorm. I'll update the description with this information and I thank you for informing me. However, as I said before this isn't a video on the best way to survive, it's merely an entertaining solution that involves lighting yourself on fire. That and it was one of the few solutions that actually worked back then. That and overcharging a bubble shield with life landmines.
@cytanlord Yeah I remember those old times, when you could heal a shield, overhealing it would make it last longer and it could take more damage... Well, you're welcome. I hope this will help others aswell.
@DuskDistress Default staff. I am immune to fire because I continuously cast lightning and fire immunity on myself throughout the Thunderstorm. The combination is Lightning + Fire + Shield on Self. Make sure to keep casting it to keep the shield up at all times.
@sourzzon The rain from the Thunderstorm spell, as mentioned by Murskafin, wets you, and when wet you cannot cast any spell that contains the lightning element. This of course includes the spell for the lightning immunity shield (Lightning+Shield), which is very bad seeing as the short duration of the shield spell expires during Thunderstorm. To get around this we add fire into the shield spell so standing in the fire dries us repeatedly but does no damage. This allows us to recast the immunity.
@darklol261 Try it in game. You will find that spell impossible to cast as the water and lightning elements cancel each other out. Even casting a water shield followed by a lightning shield will not work.
Or... You could just make a normal shield, boost it until something hits you, then make a new one and repeat.

@cytanlord You can also just ward yourself against water and lightning. You wouldn't get wet and the lightning would not hurt you. Much easier.

@AQWsupersayaindragon As I have stated in my reply to darklol261, that is impossible to do.

@cytanlord Haha okay thank you so much, now I finally survived, I think I just need to practice more, you make it see so esay xD

You're using fire because it dries you (otherwise you get wet from the rain) and if you're not wet, you can cast lightning immunity.
Murskafin 11 months ago
I got it, is that because thunder hits wet object?
