Yeah I used a poster in my room as the reference pic, im unhappy with the wheels though, i got the angles a little bit wrong haha. oh well

I used the pencil proportions trick that pencil artists use. I don't find it too difficult because I specialise in observational work and doing it at uni next year, so its not too hard really.

Once you get into the flow of things, its not too time consuming. As for the gradient colours, when you go to choose a custom colour, I just go one step lighter/darker than the previous colour used. Depending on how large the area is to be gradiented, it could be three or four tones, or every colour on the tone spectrum. If I need a smooth gradient over a big area, I use small blocks of each colour, using as many as possible. If I want to cover small area, I use wide lines and use fewer of them.

Thanks, I know how to fix the wheel, its too bottom-heavy looking so it appears that you are viewing the tyre from an angle too high. But it'd ruin the video so I won't :)
