  • This is - by far - the most wonderful chorus a song ever had. Ok, maybe I'm wrong, but I feel so.

I can hardly avoid tears dripping out of eyes when I see Barrie playing with his unique open hand style. He was the greatest drummer on earth.

  • This tune is a hommage to Jim Mundy, an old-time friend from the band's genesis in the early sixties. Mundy had committed suicide in 1972

  • Many thanks for posting this excellent video! Are there any more clips from this performance?

  • Thanks for the video, haunting tune , I think I'll have this song as one the ones I have played at my wake...............

  • @HailBee Hopefully that will not be for some time to come!

  • Don't forget to mention Alan Cartwright on bass!

  • @SimoOntjah Thank you. I have now amended.

  • Great clip of one of my favorite Procol Harum songs! So sad that they don't get their due as one of the great bands of all time.

  • This is the best visual quality I've ever seen for this clip...unfortunately the original audio from the film (where they are actually performing the song live) has been replaced here.

    Still a great song though.

  • lol, was Brooker 17 years old in this?

    jk

  • This is clearly a lipsync to the orignal LP version.

  • Great study of B.J beginning at 2:33!

  • @Adominae He was a very unique player.

  • @RedDevilNumber10

Don't forget to mention Alan Cartwright on bass!

  • Outstanding --- thanks for posting!

  • @jllpmusicman Glad you like it.

  • Here we have a brilliant example of a great band at it's best doing a superb work for the video cameras, amazing video clip with also a big quality in sound which is much better than the other version taken from The Hotel Grande (but in mono). This is the PH that visited México City in 1974 after the recording of Procol's 9th. I got along so fine with all of them, but Keith Reid was a neurotic Diva total. The powerful drummer was one of the finest people I've meet on Earth, he's missed!

  • @betokkikke : fantastico! grazie amico YV:-)))

  • @betokkikke Glad you liked the video and thank you for the kind comment you left on my channel. Sorry it's taken me so long to reply!
