The KJ is a nice ride and it did well for Jeep, for a family, all around Jeep. I have a TJ too, btw. That's not as family friendly, although more fun off-load. Anyway, a KJ with Selec-Trac (think all-wheel-drive) is awesome for mixed road conditions. I'd have no problem driving a KJ across the US (as I've done) in the winter, even towing a U-haul trailer (not something I'd do with a TJ).

The Jeep was a top spec 4WD, it was always wanting to flip or understeer into ditches. the Civic on the other hand was acting like it was on a rally stage (it was all stock no stupid 3 inch exhaust) and went threw the woods much better and quicker than the Jeep. and look at the Mustang's engine, it's just now coming out of the stone age.

They have tested the Shelby GT500 and it pulled a 1:30, the Evo, STI WRX, and the Z4 went around in 1:28.2. The Focus RS and Golf W12 went around in 1:29, Nissan 370 pulled a 1:27.5, and the top spec Evo has pulled a 1:24. The only Mustang that can compete is the Roush Mustang which pulled a 1:28. Did he say the interior quality was good? must be a lot different than the Liberty interior here in Canada which is full of poor fitting rough cut hard plastics.

I think that Cherokee, or rather the Liberty, has given an off name to the original Cherokee's. I have a 1999 Cherokee sport and it's miles away from that machine.
