Hey hans. I've connected my dtxplorer to my laptop using the yamaha midi- usb cable. But my computer is telling me that it cannot find the relevant drivers. any suggestions?

@AlofD Hi , just install the correct drivers for the "yamaha midi -usb connection cable",drivers should be included.

this problem has nothing to do with the midi connection itself ; the laptop just does not find the correct driver for the usb device . greetings Hans

@hansnemetz Hey man, Thanks a lot I found the drivers and once I'd messed about with it for a while it worked. thanks again. i've since upgraded to superior drummer which has an automatic drum mapper on it.

Hola Hans, I followed your instructions successfully, you're cool! Could you please also explain how to use direct sounds from the DTXplorer + the MIDI sounds of the EZdrummer altogether?? I am using Cubase, EZdrummer and a Tascam US144MKII. Thanks my friend!

@malmada77 mmh; it will work--but: using both analog inputs (DTXplorer to US144MKII) + the midi connection at the same time will produce some latency!!! I have this problem with my very powerful Presonus Soundcard .

I'm using Cubase 5 with Superior and the setup works perfectly but I am getting about a second of Latency. How do you suggest I correct it? I am using an M-audio profire2626 device. Thank you

Hi. Can you help me with a longstanding problem? I'm connecting my Yamaha DTXplorer electronic drums to my iMac (purchased new in 9/2009) and using ezdrummer inside garageband . I'm using a program called midipipe to get the electronic drums to work in garageband as a midi instrument. No matter what I do, every time I play my electronic drums, there's a short delay, enough to ruin the timing of every song I work on, even after doubling my mac's ram to 8 gb. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Dont think my previous post took; you seem rather experienced with this set up; I'm having some double triggering/latency problems using a DTXtreme IIs module using host(s) Reaper and Adobe Audition 3? Everything else works great except the latency when I strike the pads! Very frustrated cause I"m so close! Any help at all is appreciated!

I also am using DTXtreme IIs module via midi 2GB RAM 300Ghz through Behringer FCA202 interface. Any help is appreciated!

Hi , your problem could have more reasons. when you play keyboard (VST synth) do you have high latency as well? ->lower the buffer size of the asio settings from the soundcard. the dubble problem is probably also caused by the sound card settings. check the latency settings ,tra to lower the ms , switch the soundcard output to output monitoring only ,otherwise you get in- and output at the same time -> dubble
