You're hearing it wrong. The words are not saying that His GLORY is impossible, but rather that it is impossible to comprehend that a holy, just, righteous, God would leave Heaven to come to a fallen Earth for a creation that turned it's back on Him. Yet, it is glorious because God did what is impossible for us to comprehend.

@chinal168 i always thought of it like this: that it was "impossible" the way jesus came to us...through a virgin birth...everyone who heard it would say, "thats impossible," but nothing is impossible with God! thus making it glorious. and then everything else jesus did with his life - healings, miracles, rising from the dead, all impossible to an unbelieving world but not to our powerful God! just my 2 cents.

The Glorious Impossible is Jesus, and he's called the Glorious Impossible in this song because it's impossible to conceive the vast and eternal God in all His greatness becoming a man, and imposible to conceive that such a fiercely holy and just God could possibly forgive our sin and give us grace, and impossible to conceive his resurrection and victory over death by His own power.

It is very strange to me how some 'Christians' will get so down on another believer, especially those who have dedicated their lives to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ and who have literally touched the lives of millions in this effort. I personally have been touched many times by their music and know I will be again and again - and I am also very leery of 'touching God's anointed' for as David warns, one does not do so without incurring a penalty.

@MrJackanthony Technically baritone is its own voice type. it is a lower voice though. however, in choral music, the "baritones" are part of the bass section.
