  • haha the qb's at 3:10

  • wow draft busts in both the nba and nfl in 2007. jamarcus russel to the raiders and greg oden to the portland trailblazers

  • they sais he would be a top 5 qb in 3 years. they should give him a chance really maybe he has los weight and changed i would hope he did and be the qb he was supposed to be

  • John elway like???? Lol

  • JaMarcus Russell perfected the bounce pass in the NFL.

  • Im not defending russell but he did have a bad o-line those years!

  • That's why I respect guys like Tebow so much. A good attitude and strong work ethic are more important than being able to throw the ball 60 yards on one knee.

  • Also we fucked up when we just let go of jeff garcia like nothing when we had him.

  • we should have sat him for 2-3 years and made him learn the offense and make him study the game, so much talent gone to waste.

  • fuck off with these 240p videos

  • 3 years later: The raiders are even willing to give any draft picks number 2 because of what has happened with jamarcus russell

  • "uhh" "uhh"

  • Yes, he actually did realize his potential. Potential is more than size and strength. He showed that mentally he was still a child, a spoiled delusional child that thought he didn't have to work hard to play in the NFL. He was wrong. As a pro he was a piece of shit.

  • Ha. Living proof that a strong arm means sooo little in the NFL. The skill sets of running an offense, reading a defense, preparing, all mental. He showed when it came down to it that he did not have the metal or mental discipline to play the position.

  • Mel Kiper, just admit you were f#$kin dead wrong.

  • wat a failure

  • No rise.. just fall..

  • @Zeinster18 he was the first pick...thats a rise for me. then he fell completely

  • @garethkielty Opinion respected but i don't think that was under his control.. being the first pick is how others make you look good, but making something out of your career with your actions and game play is what actually builds a career... being any number in the draft has proven to mean nothing these days.. being drafted in general is a birth of a career, a highlight, not a contributing factor to how well you play the game.. because i an argue that ur saying 7th round careers are falls..

  • @Zeinster18 yes i see your point. tom brady os the most obvious of these but then if you are drafted in the first few picks there are reasons. you must have performed fantastically in college in order to be a drafted that high

  • @garethkielty Yeah that's true but I guess it depends where you're looking at it from. You said his rise was being drafted as the first pick... I agree it's a big part of his career but I personally wouldn't call it a rise... and it's game time now so good luck to whoever you support!!! haha I love the NFL

  • Somebody needs to go shoot whoever said he would be good.

  • "In 3 years you could be looking at an Elite-Top 5 QB."

    Oh the irony.

  • :54 WOW "JOHN ELWAY-LIKE" OMG

  • This video was filmed with a potato

  • The rise ended at the draft

  • no talent+no work ethic= jamarcus russell

  • Basie tebow but with bad character

  • What Rise?

  • @NYG5 Whatever it is, I want some lol

  • holy shit mel kiper you are halarious 3 years he will be a top qb john elway like more like 3 years out of the leauge

  • hahha the guy said by 2010 russell will be a top 5 qb, boy were we wrong

  • that rise ended at 0:01

  • Comment removed

  • why every hating the speaker right now??

  • he's john elway like? what the fuck is mel kiper smoking?

  • @NYG5 it was before they knew he sucked dick

  • @y0urfav0ritej3w come on, he was way too slow and inaccurate in college to be on elway;s level. mel kiper is a fucking dumbass

  • @NYG5 slow? who cares? he punished defenders in his way in college and was accurate enough to be succesful. the reason he failed was because he had NO work ethic. the talent was there, he just didnt do anything with it

  • @y0urfav0ritej3w Elway at Stanford: 27 td, 11 int, 20 td 13 int, 24 td 12 int, 65%, 58%, 64%. Russel at LSU: 9 td 4 int, 15 td 9 int, 28 td 8 int, 50%, 60%, 67%. he had that decent final year, but to compare a one year wonder to Elway, knowing what Elway did his pro career, is fucking retarded. maybe if he had the quickness to run around the backfield and make plays on his own, you can compare that to Elway, but he didn't, all Russel had was a cannon arm and 0 football intelligence

  • Well he is in the top 10 wasted draft picks

  • There was a rise??

  • @Beastify29 It was pretty much the period of time when he was drafted to when he was signed. The rest was the fall.

  • Russel was a bust, because he was lazy. He had the tools to succeed in the NFL, but his laziness prevented that from happening. He didn't take the time to learn the offense, or the plays. As a result, he became a bust.

  • which pixel is Jamarcus Russel

  • Mariucci said JaFatAss was a John Elway like? Maybe i've misunderstood.

  • I was pissed when they cut Garcia. Fu**ing stupid!

  • HINDSIGHT IS 20/20 too all you dumbasses who are posting shit about the predictions on him

  • Have another Twinkie fatso

  • Russel - Leaf

  • lmfao ... 0:25 no..just no.

  • lmfao ... :25 no..just no.

  • Jamarcus russel is the greatest bust ever.

  • campbell is a better qb the raiders will do better with campbell I would not write jamarcus off completey yet he has a really strong arm not all qbs have a strong arm the problem is that he undiscplined and overweight if he looses the weight and grows up he could suprise people and make a qb come back.

  • @burntvalve86 agreed...i feel the same with rolondo mclain sometimes

  • Whoever compared him to elway disserves to be shot

  • @captainchill4813

Mel Kiper buddy. He's constantly wrong. Drafting Alualu was wrong, now he's out playing McCoy. Mike Mayock was pre-drafting players. Tyson Alualu was a guess, Mayock was right. I believe Mayock was getting all the picks right until the 15th overall pick. Mel Kiper, got them all wrong lol.

  • Russell was bad news as soon as the ink dried on that contract. 2 years ago Jeff Garcia SHOULD have been the starting QB as soon as he joined the team! Al Davis probably had something to do with fouling that up too.

  • LMFAO HE SAID 3 YEARS FROM ELITE QUARTERBACKS IN THE LEAGUE

  • JaMarcus was nothing that Mel Kiper at the begining was describing him as. Just the BIGGEST draft bust in NFL history since Ryan Leaf.

  • IT'S FUNNY HOW THREE YEARS LAYER HE IS NOTHING WHAT DAT GUY SAID IN THE BEGGINING HAHA

  • Cambell wont disapoint us hes the future

  • @raiders4ever81 isn't that what you guys said when you drafted him?

  • @TheJB443 yea no shit were gonna say that no one thought he would be a fat bitch and not do anything i no Jason will do a lot more then him

  • @raiders4ever81 lol anybody would do more than russell

  • Breaking news: Jamarcus Russel arrested for possession of controlled substance. NY Jets are no longer interested in signing him. Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse. lol... What a waste.

  • @paulymac I wish I could have waited for that to make this video

  • @paulymac Breaking news!!! Jamarcus Russell throws for 4 td's and 317 yards...in his backyard...from the deck...while eating cake

  • @millertimeified playing Madden

  • @millertimeified ...in 600 attempts....with 15% completion...in 4 weeks.

  • AS THE COACH FROM THE JETS SAID JAMARCUS WAS A VICTIM OF THE RAIDERS TEAM

THAT BAD OFFENSIVE LINE AND THE BAD WIDE RECIEVERS

LETS SEE HOW GOOD BRADFORD DOES WITH THE RAMS I CANT WAIT TO SEE.

    icon.

  • @IconListening I think the Raiders were the victim of Jamarcus Russel. Jeff Garcia called him out about his work ethic and his ability as a QB. Have you ever heard Jamarcus try to talk during in a interview? Bottom line, he's not ready for the NFL.

  • Great video! I think the Raiders learned a lot from this experience. They'll probably never draft a QB in the first round again. Go Raiders!!

  • @paulymac

    what exactly did they learn

  • @IconListening They learned not to draft a QB #1 in the first round. At least with Campbell and free agency it's no surprise. You know what your getting. Raiders have done well picking up QB's who were supposedly past their prime... like Gannon and Plunkett. I think Campbell has something to prove.
