We had one of those little 5" 78s on red plastic with an instrumental version of this (with some strange shifts in harmony, from minor to major). It had no label, and I didn't manage to discover the name of the piece until ten or so years ago. The flip side was called something like "Young People's' March — it's been gone for years.
Well, to make it short, thanks for posting this. And get those kids off my lawn!
My favorite version of this song was billed as "The Bagelman Sisters" and featured a male, third vocalist. I can't find any references to it any place, but I know I'm not good at looking up klezmer (I can't find any of the klezmer I was listening to in the late 1990's). But anyways, this is a great fun song. I'll never forget this song.
@gabrielapetrie That was the Abe Ellstein version from 1940 and the male vocal is Seymour Rechtzeit. It's available on a collection titled "Klezmer" from the "Yazoo" label.

Their yiddish repertoire is impressive.
Yet, I feel, many of their early recordings
and performances have been lost and
yet to be rediscovered.
