thats not the battery its an connector to the motor who´s wrong. scheck this and you have more power at the fan. or try to solder the cables direct on the motor. these cheapy connectors are not usable and the chinese can´t correctly gild a connector.
@TheOriginalYouToob In most cases yes you do. Exceptions are tiny little foam planes that weigh very little. What is recommended is an AMA membership. Check your message box for the link I will send you. Hope the information helped!
@TheOriginalYouToob you dont need a license to fly a rc plane you might be required to carry AMA insurance if your flying nitro, turbine, or a hopped up duct fan. Is cheap to carry, less then a battery pack.
Never buy from Nitroplanes or banana hobby. Last plane I bought from NitroPlanes had a RX that did not work 99% of the time. Well it went out in flight(First flight) and caused a crash destroying the brushless motor and nose of the aircraft. Also I thought I would add that after several attempts to contact NitroPlanes about this problem they never got back to me.. Go figure.
I bought one of these from Nitroplanes and the wind took it away and I crash landed some distance away (see my video). I need to purchase some spare parts for it but it doesn't seem like Nitroplanes carries them.
Nitroplanes: Do you stock spare parts for this Mirage 2000? The only ones I see on your site are for the RICCS Mirage and they are all out of stock.
hey i would like to buy an R/C helicopter but i want it to be strong and sturdy reasonable price and not a nooby entry level helicopter. Price range about probably 150 - 200 maybe more GBP wich is bout 220-300 USD look cool

This plane uses an electric ducted fan. A battery powers a small (2" or 50 mm) fan that produces enough thrust to get the jet airborn. The battery also powers servos which control the ailerons, elevator, and rudder if so equipped. The speed is controlled by an electronic speed controller unit that is in the plane and wired between the battery and the fan. Great little planes, fun to fly!
i broke some guys rc jet while playing soccer i punt the ball and got a direct hit. the guy wanted me to pay for it but it was his fault that he was flying it low and across the soccer filed. I REALLY WANT ONE FOR MY SELF !!!!!
You should tell the guy to go to nitroplanes . com and he can even find sales on rcdiscuss . com/blog. If there's a sale for rc products from our sites, I will post it on the blog. -Teddy
We have tens of thousands of customers and we would like to keep our business going so it's not in our best interest to scam anybody. We also offer a 30 day warrantee from date the product is received. We're also a company based in California, USA, with the address of our warehouses listed on our websites. We definitely do not want to scam anybody. =)
The strange thing about these duct -fan jets is although they cannot take-off vertically like a Harrier jump-jet, on average they need more powerful batteries than RC helicopters.
@nitroplanes they aren't really 'more powerful' and most of the 64mm jets are really underpowered(F-117 I got is horribly bad)... I am waiting for my 4cell battery and 60A esc to speed it up (I already put in a new motor). I think it has the same electronics as this mirage.
I've been thinking about it. Instead of real bullets, using those engines for rocket models would do, but then again, they would have to be modified but when well done; adding a radar with heat seeking modified missiles won't hurt. I think that may be possible, but it would probably take about 50 years from now before such tech would exist.
WOW!! I've the F35 Exceed I'had some problems with servos dotation and regulator used with a Lipo 1500 Mah 30C. This Mirage work's well with box dotation? 5 Star beautiful!
I would like to get me one & modify it with two 22 cal bullets & one 32 cal.
Then (Here comes the cool part) have a battle ship ready on the water with canons & all & make my own simulation. That would be cool if it's possible to also add a tiny camera on the plane & on the battle ship.
Main objectives: Plane to sink the battleship. Ship to blow the plane out of the sky.
You can get the tiny cameras at intelspy . com. If you're going to do this, now is the best time. We have a new video contest and you can win cash prize. Go to rcdiscuss . com/blog for more details.
wow u can get a way better one then that piece of crap u should get a gas one like with out the perpellores o(o ya sorry a bout the spelling ya im not good at that) so u can get a better one then that
do u have any tips on landing, like how much power and should u be pressing kinda like down on the control to keep the nose up..? flying for me is the easy part it's just the landing.
same. i dont have an EDF jet, but with the plane that i do have i noticed it is best to come in at low throttle, and not to pull up too much. The throttle gives you more control, however because the plane is going faster if you pull up you will completely miss your landing strip. Pull up at the last second just to raise the nose before your wheels hit they ground.
