The point is that some here talk about speed glue (an European cheat strategy) as if the modern Chinese didn't use glue --but forget the unfair impact of the combi-bats in the period 1975 and after . . . . Glue is just like the combi-bat secret weapon-both are unfair advantage . . . . One million Chinese trying to oppress the World and Google-Would they bring back the gang of 4 . . . .
the hungarians were the first players to use glue and i was the first with gary wilkins of wales to use it in the uk... we caught him and jonyer glueing up in the welsh open 1980... always thought the ball was broke when they were hittting it ..lol what a feeling hitting the ball when we glued up for the first time.. like you ad a rocket launche rin your blade

@glenngould99 The issue it seems is the hypocritical pretense of saying that gluing was a problem but using different type rubbers of the same colour and not stamping was not. Stellan posted his beating of Huang in 1981 on youtube and noted-" Note Huang's hiding and flipping of his racket, he played with long pips and smooth rubber of the same color". This to my mind was worse than the speed glue-I don't believe Cai Zenhua could have won without this advantage.
@Barrysamlal Hypocrites indeed Barry-They stole their way to many many Championships-Especially the current or former Deputy Minister, Cai Zhenhua-The ugliest player (style and appearance) alive still-lol - Stamp and twiddle, stamp and twiddle, rate that.
Unfortunately, we do not have the whole match. We do have lots more of Zhenshi, including whole matches against Surbek amongst others. and some Zhang Li too, keep checking back!
Li Zhenshi lost the game but he won this match.
