Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm sorry to hear you also suffered but you too show that recovery is achievable. I'm so pleased to hear you decided to have a second child and didn't suffer the fate of PND again. X
Dear Claire, thank you for sharing this very painful episode in such an inspirational way! I also suffered acute PND - such a lonely illness and it is so refreshing to see you being so open about the hopelessness and the darkness! My 1st baby was also born late 2006 so this montage has really touched me. I also received lots of medication and good support from healthcare providers/friends/family - my 2nd child was born in April 2009 and there has been no PND at all... good luck for your future
@niall29 You are right in what you say that most women DO recover from PND, with the right support and treatment.Nobody, least of all me, has said that trying to end ones life is 'brave', fighting the illness and coming out the other end IS brave however. What concerns me most is that you refer to your job which suggests you work in a health setting which such ignorance in your views of mental illness. Mental illness is selfish but the person who is suffering isn't.
im 32 weeks pregnant and in floods of tears from this video, but am also smiling lol, u are truly an amazing woman and i think its wonderful that u have shared this with other people to show them that u can come out the other side, u look so happy in the end pictures of u all as a family xx
