  • I just found out about Sikth about 10 months ago... You know what i said? .. "Why the hell did i not find them earlier?"

  • the singer sounds like the singer of Mindless Self Indulgence....im not the only one right?

  • @IcarusCinematics eh, he sounds like the dude from SikTh, that band was the shit!

  • @IcarusCinematics yeah he does actually. but he likes his metal black like his coffee.

  • why are we condemned to listen to shit bands.....??? please come back Sikth....

  • Here's a thought. Meshuggah, PTH, SikTh, and BTBAM all kick major ass in their own wickedly progressive manor. That's the idea of progressing. You're inspired by other progressive groups, but everybody goes their own direction. And they are all above and beyond musically.

  • @saxmodeman88 Agreed!

  • Meshuggah, Protest and SikTh are all incredible. Let's not split hairs and just enjoy.

  • You guys should stop comparing. This band has elements of all different styles of metal, that's what makes them so unique but also somewhat familiar to listen to at first. I can hear nu metal influence, thrash, death metal, black sabbath, meshuggah, hell even pantera at times, and obviously pth. But there's no point in comparing, Sikth is just Sikth, like Meshuggah is just Meshuggah.

  • I don't know why people always compare SikTH and protest, and say they are simular. Well... they're not. Both are awesome no doubt but I would say Protest sounds like BTBAM, and sikTH sounds more like Meshugga. JUst saying...

  • @bean14hawks lol......I dont agree with you PTH is the most sikth-influenced band, but PTH is a lil bit "mainstreem" to SIKTH...And no bands sounds like BTBAM :D..btw Meshuggah is way havier than SIKTH, PTH or BTBAM....the only thing wich is common is the "math-riffs" but in SIKTH thoose are just "extras"..In Meshuggah all about rithm...For an example: Rational Gaze's main riff is based on 2(!!!) notes... (I think Meshuggah was the first band who mixed jazz and metal.)

  • @Gnoorf the contortionist sounds alot like btbam

  • @bean14hawks Sikth truly sounds nothing like Meshuggah. Very, very slight similarities. They are more like Protest the Hero than Meshuggah, easily.

  • @bean14hawks PTH and BTBAM are two completely different bands, listen to old BTBAM just the vocals are enough to distinguish them as different

  • @StewartHaasNewman Between the buried and me are far more leaning towards thrash and death metal then Protest the hero. Protest are more prog and experimental, influenced by stuff like sikth, botch and dillinger escape plan. Between the buried are more influenced by stuff like Obituary, Morbid Angel, Soilwork etc.

  • @bean14hawks Dude, fucking Protest the hero are a new band, Sikth are much older. In fact, protest was influenced by Sikth, listen to their interviews. Its like if u compared Down or Pantera with Black Sabbath, it doesnt make sense, because Sabbath is the influence.

  • @Grimeyhoob Actually PTH and SikTh both formed in 1999 and influenced each other as they developed. PTH just happens to publicize their respect for SikTh.

  • @saxmodeman88 plus PTH members are much younger, I mean they were like 13 when they formed so, generally cause of that people tend to think Sikth have been around longer.

  • @IGNsucks Good call. Plus PTH is still gaining fame and SikTh sadly dispersed with little recognition. RIP SikTh.

  • @saxmodeman88 yeah RIP sikth..............

  • i must this is a pretty badass song

  • SikTh and Protest live would've been awesome

  • Best song off this album!

  • PTH = SikTh

    different tastes for different people

  • PTH are how I got into Sikth, PTH were asked to be the support act on Sikths last tour but they went and supported Trivium instead. I'd have gone with Sikth , I can't stand Trivium.

  • there was probably more money in touring with Trivium...

The people in PTH love Sikth either. They wear SikTh T-shirts during performances sometimes.

  • @mattyvitofinch

Actually the band wanted to tour with Sikth but their manager made them go with Trivium.

  • @Ironb3rry can you blame them? Alot more exposure

  • @mattyvitofinch fuck Trivium :P

  • @mattyvitofinch What Assholes.

  • @clockwerkkilla420 actually PTH are huge fans of Sikth and wanted to tour with them but their manager said they would be better off going with trivium.

  • Sikth > After The Burial > Fellsilent

  • Sikth > Fellsilent > After The Burial

  • Protest the heros > Sikth

  • Protest The Hero = Not Even Close To Sikth.

  • @Kmac2021 your opinion

  • @Kmac2021 Hey, PTH also rocks so shut the fuck up.

  • @aeonzone I Didnt Say They Werent Good. I Like Them And In My Opinion They Arent As Good A Sikth. So How About You Shut The Fuck Up And Not Cry When Someone Has An Opinion.

  • @Kmac2021 LOL I thought you we're the little baby crying XD I didn't comment you commented they weren't good but if you let PTH fans see this video they aren't going to let you have that 'opinion' which is pretty subjective for them. And why is that comment one of the best ones. So shut up, please. Should I beg on my knees to make your lousy hands and mouth shut?

  • @Kmac2021 And there's no such shit thing comparing both good bands. I only see it's worth comparing when there's an obvious bad one and a good one. For example, Jesu and Jonas Brothers. Same in starting with J, so much different in depth.

  • Is it just me or does the singer sound a lot like Jimmy Urine from Mindless Self Indulgence at various parts?

  • Yes, you're right, they sometimes follow same notes and pussy catfight vocal stile. But Jimmy Urine himself stolen a lot from Perry Farrel of Jane's Addiction.

  • Awesome song, favorite band. I can't wait to hear some tunes of Pin's new band!

  • In my opinion, you are waaaaaay wrong :P

  • Well thats your opinion and you're entitled to it. And nobodys gonna judge you just because its wrong :)

  • I'm glad we could come to agreement.

  • ya they are but after the burial is way better than Fellsilent

  • holy shit i havnt heard these in ages! LOL wow

  • you can defenitly tell protest the hero were influenced by these guys. kinda sux ive only started to appreciate them (sikth) after they split

  • you cant just sit down and write this stuff! they completely ignore all the rules of music and still manage to make it sound kick ass! they make them slapping sounds by hitting the pick up on the guitar; who would ever think to do that!? genius.

  • @TheLeliiBelii

Someone whos owned a bass guitar and experimented lol

  • They could have really been the greatest metal band out there if they continued. It saddens me so much that they didn't.

  • I like those slapping sounds! XD They sound like System Of A Down jamming with Protest The Hero and Between The Buried And Me chimes in every now and then.

  • shut up

  • Easy, a group of ppl get together start playing music form a band and write songs

  • People? I think you mean gods.

  • I'd like to see you try and recreate something like this mate.

  • I prob could if i actully wanted to nd i tryed

  • good luck

  • Jesus christ. Fucking impossible song! How do you write something like this???

  • best riff ever written, the first one

  • First to comment! Ha! Awesome song, Glad someone put this up! I have seen them live about 8 times now and I still can't get enough!

  • You do know they've been broken up for quite a while now right? :(
