  • Am I the only one annoyed by DiCaprio's character? He comes off throughout the whole movie towards Rose with multiple hints of condescension, talking to her like she's a little kid and not an adult calling her "stupid" and "spoiled brat" at various points, and telling her stuff that is blatantly obvious as if she's a blithering idiot. "Kick for the surface!", well no shit Jack! What other advice have you got for us? "Breathe the air, not the water!"

  • This is 1.85 aspect ratio version, you should have uploaded 2.35 version

  • @siachoquero It's actually 16:9, and if I was thinking right at the time of making this, it would be in 2.39:1 /and/ be in stereo. Imagine that.

  • @MichaelXX2 16:9 and 1:85 is completely the same its a tv aspect ratio for HD series for example.

  • @becca6749 u f**king jackass 1st of all the whole titanic did sink and 2nd of all the life boats got away and were like a mile away from the titanic besides it barely even showed any water scenes that were only like 200 ft away from titanic and the only scene when u get a good view of the water is when the people in the water get pwned after titanic split. Where did you get this info

  • *sees titanic on tv* Aw i don't wanna watch this its too sad! Wait that one parts on :3

*watches guy after jump start flipper off the propeller :3333 sorry had to point it out

  • 3:29, Such a powerful scene. The unsinkable titanic heads for her death. :3

  • @AmazingZsolt she was never claimed to be unsinkable. it was rumored that she was due to how she was built.

  • @MrWhatsrossable

Mr, I know that. Im just saying unsinkable, Because thats how they knew her "The unsinkable titanic"

  • @AmazingZsolt yh but no were during the time she was being built to her sinking was she ever called the unsinkable titanic. not even white star line named her the unsinkable. it was just a publisity stunt to make her look better when she sank

  • titanic break in half because there are no more compartments in the ship so the structure fails and people went to the stern and titanic stren weighs heavy and the water in the compartments is also heavy

  • 1500 people went to the stern so it break in half

  • @gigoreyes10 Um excuse me are you in lala land, the ship cracked due to the water filling up its compartments, and there was no more compartments which caused pressure, causing the back of the ship to lose stability and it cracked

  • i rather used my canoe on the lake

  • Imagine becca6746 clinking open her inbox LMAO

  • and it did sink that way and you mean 800 metters apart and its double bottom holded it when it broke but it had to break and a non stead area so and the stear ispulled in the shreds and mangeled and the back were it cut so it did sank that way dud lol

  • it sank beecause the lower end of the bow is bentid forward and there mangeled it did sink that way

  • @AmazingZsolt luv that scene to!!!! The water shooting out!!!! EPIC!!!!...

  • I love the scene at 3:09 Really shows the force of the sinking.

  • @AmazingZsolt why u say that?

  • xD

  • I would have shat myself if i were on the stern as she broke in half!

  • You know, this is a really big "dont jinx it!" moment in history. I mean they said the Titanic was unsinkable, and it sank. If they thought it could sink then they would have been more careful with that ice-berg.

  • Not to be mean to all the people on the Titanic but it must have been really fun being a background person in this movie falling off the Titanic!

  • 0:30-0:41 was the stern breaking off really that dramatic?

  • @becca6746 You must a gigantic *Unnecessary Stereotype here*

I bet you don't know why, on April 14th, there'll be a massive memorial going around...

    Dumbass

  • DID ANY ONE ESLE SEE AT 0:28 HE WAS RAPEING HER I MENT HUMPING xD LOL

  • @olgapilyak1 lol good eye. haha i have this on replay XD

  • @olgapilyak1 lol i saw

  • llike titanic

  • its like final destination or something :O

  • its them selfish people putting the poor ones last

  • because the lifeboats swam away idiot

  • my favorite movie. This part gets me every time..

  • jack would've survived on his own =/

  • @Justified422 no shit, its not like they actually filmed it in ice water.

  • Make sure they both start at the same time, listen to Under The Sea- Little Mermaid while watching this.

It's hilarious, you can't take this scene serious.

  • 0:27

    rose araaggghhh

oscar shudda been hers right there

  • Comment removed

  • VEZ VEZ VEZ!

  • its so awful

  • All of this happened only because of one iceberg...

  • just 3d

  • just 3d

  • Rose only realizes the gravity of the situation at 2:42 lol

  • am i the only one who LOVED the noises the ship makes throughout this scene? it was like the ship was literally crying in pain. They definitely matched the right 'Titanic' size noises that would make being on the sinking liner the most terrifying, but simply listening to this would scare me shitless by itself...

  • @VengieanceSake5 i believe that they made it sound like a dying whale, sort of a death of a titan, like the titanic, if it did have a voice would have sounded like this when dying.

i believe in the 3d version, in the trailer there is new, i believe better noises added when the ship sinks, take a look and see if you can tell some new additions :-)

  • Riding the stern like a badass

  • He wont let go ;(

  • FUN FACT: the place that this was taking was a giant room and there swimming in a huge pool. And they put wax on them to make it looked like ice. don't believe me look it up plus my mom and sister told me.

  • we now know that she Breakup when she went down, not like this.

  • Comment removed

  • yea. i'm going on a cruise today.

  • @mellocellojk ..Lol..Hope your ship doesn't have the same fate..

  • Isnt that the movie?!

  • @MrAgent34

no this video was recorded for youtube only! They somehow managed to get DiCabrio and Kate Winslet and even make them appear younger

  • 0:37 titanic is like a guillotine for the people swimming there

  • had that be me on that ship my heart would've burst long before the water took me

  • 0:37 That didn't look to pleasant for the people swimming

  • This upsets me.

  • @becca6746 The whole ship DID sink, and you'll find this out if you do two more seconds of reading on the subject of Titanic. And this scene doesn't depict the lifeboats, but in the scene literally 30 seconds before this one, there's two shots of two different lifeboats.

  • @MichaelXX2 huh????im confused now

  • @MichaelXX2 Like what are we even talking about?????

  • @becca6746 - ok first of all, your the biggest idiot around, no Titanic didn't sink, they just found the bow and stern 4 miles down on the ocean floor, that's all.

  • @XxMusashiYamatoxX "no Titanic didn't sink" eh what?

  • @XxMusashiYamatoxX no no no the titanic is located 2 miles down not 4. plus the titanics sturn is not all that was found the bow was also you know nothing about the titanic and just to let you the titanic sank 100 years ago.

  • @becca6746 are you serious? WHAT!? I'm actually laughing at right now bc of how stupid your comment is.

  • @becca6746 What do you mean the whole Titanic didn't sink!!!!!!!! both pieces of the ship sank!!!!!!!!!!!:P

  • @becca6746 omg. MEGA RETARD. Yeah, the whole ship didnt sink, just the front part sunk and then the remaining back half was safely sailed across the atlantic to new york where they all lived happily ever after. gtfo

  • @becca6746 Are you a retard?

  • @becca6746 your stupidity tells me that you've never watched the movie. how sad.

  • @becca6746 You sir, are a moron.

  • @becca6746 Lol? You fucking stupid ? You think the can put down a lifeboat when this is happening? Dude when the ship started sinking they put the lifeboats down , but by this point there was none left. And it did sink. Get your shit right.

  • @becca6746 another thing, they did NOT have enough lifeboats for everyone on board that's why a lot of people died. They thought the ship was "unsinkable" which obviously... it wasn't. stop trying to be a smart ass when you don't know the first thing about the subject...

  • @becca6746 they where suppose to have alot of life boats but the took off like 20 life boats to make the boat look nicer

  • @villanueva345 NO they didnt have alott of boats becuase they all believed that the Titanic was UNSINKABLE, thatss whyy ,, duuhh

  • @becca6746 dumbass

  • @becca6746 looooooooool for stupidity!!

  • @becca6746 For fucks sake, shut the fuck up. How do people like you even exist without accidentally killing yourself? Damn.

  • @becca6746 fucking idiot

  • This is not how titanic sank. Latest models show that it split at less than 20 degrees and differently, the final stern plunge was also not vertical or that high.

  • @DLPBurke Cameron spent too much time trying to get ratings rather than accuracy. Murdoch did not kill himself or anyone else (it was likely Wilde), and that silly love story should not have been there., among many other things.

  • @DLPBurke It's too bad you think that. This scene is based heavily on the theory that was - and still is - the most widely accepted sequence of the events. Jack Thayer's drawings of the sinking (upon which this scene is based), which he did while en route to New York aboard RMS Carpathia, have the Titanic at a high angle before the split, and the stern tilting up to 90 degrees before the final plunge. While Murdoch's suicide is incorrect, it's unknown how Wilde died.

  • @Historymaker2001 and you are wrong, there is a newer theory which holds far more weight look it up.

  • @DLPBurke Oh and before you remark on the physical impossibility of the stern raising so high out of the water before she split, remember that Titanic's sister ship, HMHS Britannic, sank in broad daylight in much the same fashion - Stern at a high angle, bow completely under. Violet Jessop survived both the Titanic and Britannic sinkings and described the stern as "rearing hundreds of feet in the air". And Britannic did not split in half.

  • @Historymaker2001 There is now way it sank like the film at a complete vertical. get your head out of your ass and realise it is a film.

  • @DLPBurke The stern going vertical, or close was around long before the film made it popular. Even the new "break at shallow angle" theory has the stern being pulled near-vertical by the sunken bow.

  • @Historymaker2001 how ever britannic was modiefied after titanics sinking. and i have her book. the britannic had a list to starboard and started rising quickly and the bow was breaking on the sea bed. it the took a sudden turn and went down

  • 0:13 Look at his face, a lot of blood huh?

  • I understand why people said Rose should of helped that woman at 2:11 but I think I know why Rose didn't?

The Woman was going to give up, she knew she was gonna die one way or another.

Rose probably wasn't meant to give eye - contact with her, but because she did, the woman gave Rose the look as if to say "Don't save me, I give up" and then unfortunatley let go.

Either way, I cried when the blonde woman let go :(

  • How was no-one seriously injured and/or killed during these scenes?! :O

  • @PinkButterfly2662 the boat is all computer genierized... im sure it's all on a green screen from the actual sinking....and the pictures of titanic in the begining and used a different ship that looked as close as the titanic as they could

  • @JustBriful Actually, very little of that scene is computer generated, save for some false horizons and waterlines. The ship for the split was a 60-foot model that was designed to be broken apart repeatedly (for multiple takes). Miniature people were filmed on a greenscreen set and superimposed on the model. The close-up shots of people were filmed on a special tilting set with the rest of the ship edited in around it.

  • Love titanic

  • Titanic is the best film ever done!!!!!!!!

  • That is very awesome!!!

  • omg just herring all the the iron and steal bending gives me the creeps. Just imagine being in the middle of the ocean, pitch black and heaving the ship groaning as it bends

  • i can't imagine what those people felt.sinking in the middle of the freaking ocean O.O

  • There's a ghost on the ship!!! 3:35

  • Isn't Titanic recorded in 2.35:1 aspect ratio?

  • I liked this movie, not for who was in it, but for the depiction of what happened, and the details in re-creating what happened. I could imagine the horror as the lights went out on the ship, and the horrible sounds as the ship broke up, and the screams of more than 1,000 people freezing to death. The only recent disaster on a similar scope would be 9/11 and how bad that was. If only the New York had struck Titanic in that close call as Titanic left port. Would of never hit that ice burg.

  • When the stern crashes into the water, you can see the last smokestack leaning over.

  • 0:46 ma favorite part.. so intense and realistic give me chills, RIP

  • i wanted to go back in time and save titanic poor ship :(

  • "Whats happening Jack?"

    WE'RE SINKING!!! DUH!!!

  • @The1979Warriors yeah she acting dumb ha ha

  • QUESTION:What would you do if you could find yourself on the Titanic 24 hours before sinking without any hope to return to harbour?

  • @garden2011city You'd better learn to swim

  • @garden2011city thats easy i would explore as much as first class as i could then i would go to officer murdoch when the last life boats are being launched would i try to save the ship it self? no for history must take its course however i would save the only child to have died in first class

  • @garden2011city Easy. Try to get on one of the first lifeboats let off, because at that time most people didn't take the danger seriously and any passenger could easily get off. Unless of you course you were thinking of warning the crew.

  • Its just horrifying to think that the ship broke into two pieces and that there were people still sliding down the ship and ending up falling in between them two large pieces of the ship. Its unbelievable that this actually happened. So so sad

  • Damn! It's almost frightening to think that 2 months and 4 days from now it will be the 100th aniversary of the sinking of the Titanic

  • I think the real thing must have been a million more times more horrifying. Ships take a really long time to sink. Imagine being on the tip of the ship like Jack and Rose, knowing you were going down, but it was all agonizingly slow. Lots of time to get panicky. All that you hear is the ship breaking and people screaming and dying all around you, thinking you'll be next. But it's slow. Very slow. How horrible. :(

  • all the more horrifying when you remember that in real life there were people exactly in jack and rose's position

  • If you watch the Titanic backwards its about a magical boat that saves people haha:D

  • @gigu04 lmaoo werd. saves people from the bottom of the ocean

  • @gigu04 No, watch it in reverse and it;s about glorious Poseidon giving birth to humankind.

  • @gigu04 Ship, Not boat

  • @gigu04 if you read your comment backwards, you're still an idiot

  • LOL 0:31 YOU CAN STILL SEE LOVEJOY ON THE LEFT OF THE CRACK

  • oh. my. God.

Imagine if it was like a 10 second pause and all you heard was screaming + iron groaning, then the ship took like 15 seconds to break.

  • James Cameron needs to do Britannic and Lusitania.

  • After I watched this video, I can't belief that it was made in 1997. It was totally incredible!

  • I know it's sad, but I just love the little splash that the flagpole makes at the end.

  • +100 anti-Federal Reserve group on board.

    coincidence theory ?

  • Where would you rather be?

    ► A. On the stern.

    ► B. In the water.

► C. In the Dining Hall.

► D. On the other side.

  • Comment removed

  • i would rather be on the half that went upright and fall and hit my head on something and dye the second i hit that thing it would be way quicker than the alternate

  • @ChampsAChampetsUNITE that doesnt sound great but it certainly beats a 15 minute death by hypothermia or drowning

  • which side would you rather be on?

  • HOLY FUCK NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • /lol did people die in the making of the video lol

  • @lollmega123 God, you're stupid.

  • @YansiEvre98 :[

  • @lollmega123 Even if they did die, how is that funny?

  • Why did the deckboard fire a gunshot?

  • 1.08 Foam capstan! ahaha

  • some of the part i hear...whales?

  • omg.............. i don't know WHAT my feelings are to this scene!!! DEFINATLEY NOT HAPPY!!!

  • The groaning sound of the steal breaking is just............ omg, send a chill down my spine

  • 2:14 lol!!!

  • @TJkiwiOWEG NO, Its not lol. Why you are laughing im sure that happened to many people when this event took place! You need to be respectful to those who lost their lives in this disaster.

  • @dylantiger2 don't feed me. I'm trolling nigger.

  • @TJkiwiOWEG Lol okay.,

  • @thaPrimus you know, your comment is more insulting than cute.

  • @robiking011

it's not meant to be cute, how was it insulting though? did i hit an emotional snare with you when your favorite tearjerker movie made me laugh instead of weep like a girl?

  • @thaPrimus this movie is not like indepencende day or armageddon of the day after tomorrow, this is something that actually happend, and no your not suppose to weep neither. your comment just bother me a little and im sure im not the only one.

  • @robiking011

this movie glorifies what happened to the titanic. that's what you get when james cameron directs a movie (james cameron, lastly known for creating avatar which was to my recollection; a giant CGI rendered piece of shit). did you know the ending where jack and rose live together in the afterlife never happens? instead in real life; this rose character eventually marries some other guy in new york right after surviving the titanic, what a romance!

  • They could have helped the woman at 2:11 for gods sake... but no, Rose just looks at her like 'Eyes off my man, bitch' and watches her fall.

  • @IlEstToutSeul is that woman Helga from the deleted scenes? The romantic person to Fabrizio?

  • @IlEstToutSeul what was she supposed to do?

  • @trini4eve9 I reckon she/they could have easily grabbed her hands or helped her over the rails a bit.

  • Please, STOP FUCKING TITANIC A CRUISE SHIP ITS A DISGRACE! its a fucking ocean liner, Also PLEASE STOP COMPARING IT with The Concordia, ITS NOTHING LIKE IT. Except the fact that its much MORE WORSE THAT CONCORDIA.

  • you weren`t able to swim to the water-surface. The ship would pull you 30 metres down...

  • thumbss up you think this must have been the scariest bit for the people on the real ship to go through

  • This is my favourite comedy of all time.

  • Has anyone else noticed that body that splits in half because it's RIGHT in the path of that skinny part of the keel, and when the keel hits the water it splits and you see two half bodies flying in opposite directions? Freaks the hell out of me EVERY time.

  • @playoffexpert1 which part? what time in this video is it?

  • @jeffbrister2004 When the back of the ship slams into the water, it looks like that tiny strand in the keel splits a body in half. It certainly isn't water, maybe it's just a chair or something but whatever it is something clearly flies at least to the right.

    At 0:38

  • 0:11 poor Lovejoy...
