It's a lively piece of music and the art goes very well with it! I honestly thought that was someone playing it until I saw the comments. I enjoyed it though. As always, I love hearing YOU play!
Yeah, I'll see about recording something. I don't have a real piano, so it feels too silly making a recording of my digital. (I can create an approximate equivalent by connecting it to this program, and the notes will be adjusted with the nuances of my actual playing...sadly my MIDI cable hasn't yet come in the mail.) I should be getting an organ soon though.
To be more specific, I love the piece. You are very talented. I meant that I would love to hear it being performed by a person, and specifically by you. It would be all that much more beautiful! Like your violin piece... You play with a lot of feeling. Bring that feeling to this composition. It has a lot of feeling built into it as it is, but feeling cannot be truly translated by a machine. Let's hear it flow through your fingers onto the piano...
Interesting piece. I would love to hear you play an arrangement of it yourself. This was quite obviously a midi sequencer. I believe that there are note sequences in there that are physically impossible to play, and it sounds like it's on a grid.
Let's hear it again, but arranged for the actual instrument, and with feeling. I challenge you...
All my best musician friends seem to have an issue with this one :P
I had hoped some of them would like it...hehe
I'll tell you what, I'll work on an arrangement and see if I can get my teacher to play it if you want instant gratification, if you want me to play it we'll wait 6 months-1 year for me to improve. Savvy?
what's funny is that I was hearing the section on the "death of the author" in my literature course on my ipod while I was waiting for you to get back from the post office. "The author is a collage artist, bringing bits of formulas together, being used by the communal language, the author as a person is merely the center of a concentration of social power and prestige."
My intentions aren't really that important. But I'll try.
That sounded pretty cool, Alex. Interesting intervals in lots of places. Lots of great potential in that brain of yours! Keep writing more, and get those string instruments of your working again!
I'm glad you liked it. I think the interesting intervals aspect might be that I wrote it when I was a fourteen year old who didn't know anything more about chords than that they tend to make triad looking shapes :P
I'm working on more. I have a lot of other music from the year and a half since this piece that I can post. Though, like this one, almost none of it is complete :P
I think I'll start whoring myself for a "get alex's instruments fixed" fund...hehe.

No lets hear you do it. It is your piece. Only you can truly perform it the way it is intended because it comes from you. 6 months is fine.

mmmmm I loves your piano playing, wow... so very active and alive... mmmm :D

It's not me playing, it's my computer.
This piece is actually not playable :P
I wrote it before I knew how to play the piano. A lot of the fast bits aren't possible, and even shortened it'd be too hard for me.

I wondered how there were so many notes... but I just figured it was your natural amazingness!
