  • @serialkissersband how old is said computer that 507MB is a large amount?

  • can it work on vmware player

  • You need broadband. I believe the full ISO is around 500-600 mb

  • @brucefulton it's not big.......

can it work on vmware player please answer

  • @Ramzz2936 vmware player allows you to run a preconfigured virtual machine, but I don't believe it allows you to install an operating system.

  • @brucefulton i installed it........

  • how would i run in bridge mode?

  • It's one of the individual VM network settings.

  • Hi Bruce,

Do you have a video on "Install Ubuntu Server in Virtual PC 2007"

    Thank you

    Regards,

    Phuc Le

  • No, but it should look pretty much like this since there are no significant mouse or keyboard issues. There are problems with processors such as the pentium m that don't really work well with servers, as discussed in this video. The fix is the same on either vpc or vmware.

  • I am trying in Virtual PC 2007, but it gets suck before instalation commences, why?

  • Without more information, there is no way to tell. However if the ISO file won't boot in Virtual PC, there is a pretty good chance it is corrupted. Check the Ubuntu website for instructions on how to do an MD5 check see if the copy you have is intact and uncorrupted.

  • Virtual Pc 2007 does not support Linux,Mac, Other Unix Types

    Download Vmware!!!

  • yes it does

  • No it doesn't. The only OS on which Virtual PC can be installed is Windows. There is no host program for Linux, Mac and other Unix types. Installed on a Windows Host, Virtual PC can support Linux/Unix guests. But not Mac guests (at least not legally and easily), because Apple does not make an installable distribution of OSX for anything other than Apple.

  • well mine is working well, for the times i use it. had a bit of colour problems but i fixed that

  • You have to run the virtual machines in bridged mode if you want other machines to see them.
