Looks like a nice stove but ? Always a but lol, you may as well go Trangia. Has everything you need in a sealed kit.

@Wutangspam This is almost exactly the same :o) You can store the fuel in it like a Trangia. More actually. And has a simmer top like the trangia. Has a much better pot stand than any Trangia in my opinion and is actually higher quality believe it or not :o) Here's my but:o)...The trangia is a hotter stove and boils water quicker. I did a vid comparing the two stoves side by side :o)

I'm thinking about getting a Tatonka stove to replace the tired Whisperlite that I keep with my old school MSR stainless cookset. I'm too old to carry that stuff on my back but I do still use it for car camping.

@DrunknShooter I hear ya :o) Whisper lite isn't lite! The Tatonka isn't really lite either as far as alcy stoves go. Sure is built well though :o) They're hard to find too. The German site I looked at doesn't ship to Canada. That's why my Friend Jan sent them from Germany. Thanks for watching my friend :o)

@wawhiker It's my buddy Bushcraft Bill :o) It was a very nice one on this day. +21c :o) Today we went out again and it was even warmer. Did have some big threatening clouds for a while though. Bushwoman's doin' great man. Easier riding than hiking though. But she can't get up real steep hills too good yet. Usually by the end of the day it looks like there's a golf ball on her ankle but hey, no pain no gain eh :o) The ol' Buffalo stove is pretty cool I think :o) Thanks for coming buddy :o)

Lemmy is God! Put some Motörhead in a video and you can never go wrong. I have the Tatonka alcohol stove too. I was a bit disappointed with it. Have you ever used the Evernew alcohol stove? They aren't cheap, but they work great. Evernew makes a pot stand called the Cross Stand and it will also fit the Tatonka and Trangia. Beautiful scenery by the way!

i say Tatonka!!!... Looks like a keeper that stove. I like the pot stands, how they assemble, and looks like they swivel as well? Not crazy about MH; haven't tried their S&S. Glad to see you and Miss Bushman out on the trail. Good idea on the refelctix for winter meals, or probably accelerate the summer meals as well.

@ez2curanut Tatonka! hehe! You got it :o) The potstand legs don't swivel actually. They're not round. Each leg has 2 flat spots 180 degrees from one another. This keeps them more stable so they don't swing around. Yeah the cozies work wonders :o) I love my MH ez :o)

Great video there. Are you prehistoric size insects out in force yet? If find prepackaged backpacker food to be hit and miss. I am a fussy eater and once I find one I like I tend to use it all the time. The last one I tried from Natural High was their BBQ Chicken and Rice. I was very good.

If you are out eating dehydrated food frequently on the trail, your best bet is to get a dehydrator and make your own food for that purpose. Lots of great info on that on youtube.

@bwillan Thanks bro :o) Yup the pterodactyl skeeters are definitely out :o) We've been trying different meals for the wife due to some food allergies. There are a lot she can't eat. I have a dehydrator actually. Have only made jerky so far. Plan on doin' some other meals with it eventually :o) But I'm still going to use my MH meals too because I like them :o)
