Nice video Chris. I could never do that guy's job cutting down the tree, anything above 10 feet scares me to death. Really neat stuff you have around there, I like the old pump, that's cool.
Hated to see the old tree come down :-( But such is life. Nice video though and i enjoyed seeing your garden and bird houses. Your doggie is cute. Thanks for sharing.
Nicely done Chris. On the one hand the old tree comes down - on the other, new life in the form of birds, shrubs and plantings in your garden. Thanks for the tour :)
Man, scarey just watching I can't imagine having that job! So sad to see that all things must come to an end. On a brighter note, your doggie is too cute!
Thankyou Phil. The poor tree seemed to be hanging on with all it's strength. It has been there forever! We have to get our pussywillow tree out back trimmed, and I am a nervous wreck about it! Hugs!
I love all your birdhouses! I have had some but no birds have ever used them! :( Cute grandson bricks for your garden! Love all your gnomes also. I have 3! :D
That little house used to look so pretty years ago. Then it was sold, over and over again..to people who just didn't care. Maybe these new tenants will be better. Thanks Lesley & Hugs!
I have two friends who do the tree thing. One of them had to stop, when he fell from a tree and got traumatic brain injury. It can be a scary job! The other guy I know still does it. very cute garden area.
It is sad that they had to take down that big old tree. But your garden looks a lot better then it did with all that snow. Thank you for the lovely sunny trip around your garden.
Its sad when trees have to be cut down. I LOVE bird houses!! OH MY things are greennnnnnn!!! We don't have any green!! Still ugly brown!! Meeka is sooooo adorable...The yard is lovely!!! I so long for greennnnnn and flowers!! Today it is nice but more snow coming ...hugs..to you!!
Thanks for sharing your back garden with us Chris, your Forsythia is doing really well! Mine is just a straggling baby at the moment but has a few flowers this year. Love the bird houses I wonder if they chose the neighbourhood for it's Gothic feel with all the skulls? Cheers, Lesley
It's more country than Gothic Lesley, maybe they are "country-turned city birds" lol. My Forsythia's were all cut way back at the end of the summer season, and I was really worried that they wouldn't come back..but they did! Thanks & Hugs!
Chris, sandwiching this video with the knocking down of the old tree at the beginning and end really made for a sweet (bittersweet, almost) video. Wow.
Thanks for the compliment Curt! That's what I was aiming for. I cried when the last piece of tree came down. It has just always been there .. ya know? Hugs!
I think it was a garden video of yours that I first watched, and what made me sub.. seems like a very long time ago, somehow.. :)Nice to see it (the garden) again.. :)
wow i can't understand how that guy could go that high up the tree!! woah!! id be clinging onto that branch for dear life!!
you have a wonderfully cute giggle
WOW those skulls are MASSIVE!
it's very sunny over there.. i wish it was here - it's FREEZING!!! it is 12.30am and it is only 9deg.C / 48deg.F (which system of temperature measurement do they use where u are?)

I know what you mean. We had one grow outside the house and had to have it trimmed. The guys that did it, were very good, I would not attempt it.

bugsinrug 3 years ago
i use celsius as well, but i can never remember what other countries also use it so i usually put both temperatures measurements.
9degC is probably no way near the coldest you would get over there tho, being so high up in the northern hemisphere
