True, his version of Joker was very different from the comics and other movies, but that's because those other versions of Joker weren't right for the setting of Nolan's verse. I think what people miss is that Anne Hathaway is perfect for this role because she's a total nerd. She's supposedly been reading as much as she could and you can tell she was eager and very hungry for this role. Watch her in "Rachel Getting Married" or something, she has bit of that don't-give-a-fuck mentality to her role that could be applied to Catwoman.
