LT Adnan was Singaporean???? Well, he is born in Kajang... so he is with Askar Tanah Melayu 'C'Company and was Posted to Singapore as a last defence....
Hi. Nice video. Somewhat sureal. I'm doing a reaserch on these national heros. Wonder if you know where they were hung by their ankles. Is the tree still standing? Thanks again.
askar-askar pejuang zaman dahulu memang sudah berhabis-habisan mempertahankan maruah negara demi tak terjatuh ke tangan penjajah. kita sepatutnya bersyukur kerana amannya negara sekarang dsebabkan oleh mereka. Jadi, peliharalah negara kita dgn sebaik-baiknya.
Hi sorry question again lols. Where did u get the plastic rifles? actually i am also doing a production on this war stuff, haha and im on a very very tight budget. :P
ironically... the jap uniforms were borrowed from mediacorp, and so were the helmets for the malay regiment hahaha mediacorp has taken a long walk away from period pieces and fantasy genres too. those were their best days, and they are past.
Argh, I always hoped mediacorp could get their arse off and do some sort of band of brothers style movie or series or something. This is the closest we could get. What a shame.
its ok ,most viewers wouldnt know a lee enfield from a jap rifle anyway ..just who was this ww2 maylay hero ,everything ive ever seen is in maylay ? i take it that he was a bright spot in an otherwise fairly disasterous capaign .
yep the entire film is in malay. the hero in this short is not a real character, but someone we fictional. there was, however, a real war singaporean war hero, by the name of Adnan bin Saidi. can check out more abt him on wikipedia!
At the start i thought this was team fortress two the after that i noticed that it was ww2 and if i was the Lt. Adnan i wont even want to stand up talk shit
hehs i guess this is just how film is. many things aren't as realistic as we wish for them to be. but not everyone can understand a true battlefield situation.
if you think our guy shouldn't be talking shit, check this out:
watch?v=dfImiqpf6eo&feature=related 0:30 through 1:10
thanks for the comment though! if we ever do a war film again, we'll try to stick to realism even more :)
