Lennon once said that while he may of been a star in the '60's, he was a product of the '50's. I always love that no matter how experimental he may have been with some of his music, he was never too far from the rock and roll standards of his youth. While this version suffers from too much production and probably too much booze in the studio, the point is the same man who wrote Strawberry Fields For Ever and Well Well Well his having the time of his life singing this song....

I did a search and found an interview where Rosie is asked what her favorite cover of the song was, and she said it was this version, and that she wished she could have met Lennon.
