Hehehe, you do realize this song has been a part of the tour setlist on and off for almost 20 years? They just never recorded a studio version for an album until Backspacer.

In any case, calling Pearl Jam sell outs is pretty much akin to calling you someone who is at all knowledgeble about music. Neither seems to to hold much weight.

Well that is not so easily accessible information, but it is true. It certainly wasn't a regular on the set list but it is not a new song by any means. Which again was in reference to the original troll who tried to claim this song was evidence to Pearl Jam now selling out. He also claimed it sounded like standard comtemporary pop.

I have a list of almost every set list that Pearl Jam have played since their very first show at the off ramp cafe in Seattle on October 20th, 1990. I can confirm to you that they have not played this song before 2009. The music for the song was developed in 2008 and the lyrics were put together by Eddie in 2009. Thus blowing your theory out of the water-so for the third and final time-you speak shit.

And in my opinion, it sounds pretty repetitive from their last album (yeah i know you wont like what im saying) and i think they give very importance to eddie vedder's voice, so to conclude i'm a little bit disappointed but that's my humble opinion.

I don't think they necessarily tried to "change" their style, but as musicians grow and evolve they begin to get new ideas and inspirations. Just because it is different from the style they had back in the Ten days does not really make it better or worse, it is just what the musicians were feeling at the time. I like both styles (although in my opinion Ten was their best album ever!!)

This isn't quite a new sound of Pearl Jam, there last album had the same sound. Also there 2nd to last album they released, was quite a change in what they used to sound like. All bands have become a new style, look at a lot of the bands who've made recent albums from the 80/90's, they don't sound the same. I think this is a good change even though I loved there old stuff.
