I have seen someone hack a pokemon gold rom for there fangame called: Pokemon... Okay, i forgot the name, but if they hacked gold, i can say for sure you can hack red and blue. and yellow. and green.

I can't get past Pewter either. Where you're normally supposed to exit, there's some sort of invisible block there that seems impossible to get past. Does that mean it's the end of the demo?

@JordanMeAwesome Someone is doing it. They also made Lost Silver already. I don't know if there is a team but this is the username of the guy whos doing it: dabr1dg3. He posts progress videos from time to time, and he also has a website.

@Funnelcake1234 most roms are, havnt had a problem with it. If you are nervous just run your anti virus right after to extract and patch everything and if there is anything with it you will catch it.

I started the game, pressed start in the Fire Red start screen, and got the message "The 1M sub-circuit board is not installed". :/ I tried switching between Flash 64k and Flash 128k, but it didn't work.

Nice Progress so far. One QUestion: why does curse work on every pokemon, but not on brocks Onix? Sticking to the "story" the only pokemon this attack should fail against are gohst-Pokemon.

(Yes, I know this is an erly demo version, and has do be worked on a f'ing lot util it's finished, I just thought I'd pint this out)

@WWEdeadman I just used it. Remember, it's a one-hit KO. If Ghost isn't at least a level higher than the other Pokemon, it won't work.

but the only thing to the story it has is

1. the Ghost

2. The curse move (which works.. apart from on Gary's pokémon for some reason

@bustercharl777 Personally, I'm more interested in dabr1dg3's version of it (the creepypasta says it's on the original games, not on the remakes, and anyway anyone can make GBA Pokemon hacks these days.

But until after the E4, the story is the same as in the games, short of Ghost (which is level 1, not 5 at the start) scaring every foe's Pokemon from attacking and the Curse move (in the CP it fails on Ghosts, Gary and Giovanni until the final fight, not their Pokemon) and...

I doubt the creepypasta can be followed faithfully without some serious ASM, and at this point, why not just build your own engine and do it in the original's style instead of a FireRed hack?
