  • Just wonderful.

I've been practicing some Montes' pieces lately and when I started Preludio de Adios found your fantastic rendition of such a beautiful music. I'll be watching this video many more times, as a privileged lesson and as a beautiful piece of art on itself.

Thanks, again, for sharing your art. Best regards from Brazil.

    Javier

  • excelente pieza, donde puedo conseguir las partituras?

  • Hola! You can find this at Caroni Music. I bought it there.

    Kindly,

    Per-Olov

  • What a touch! You could make a cigar box guitar with rubber band strings sound good. Thanks for introducing us to Montes.

  • Hello per-olov,

I like you are lover of this instrument. Ofcourse, you have much moree experience than myself but i kinow that yuu enjoy the guitar too much. We do not pretend more than enjoy the spititual feeling of the guitar which I think comes from god.

    God bless you,

    Luis

  • In our days the music is made by Chavez Frias, but what we really need are thousands of Montes,Lauros,Borges etc.

Great interpretation; This is a beautyfull sounding guitar who is the luthier?

  • Very interesting - I was prompted to search Alfonso Montes as I found the sheet music for Tiento Cancion Y Danza. This was "Chris Kilvington's Choice" a close family friend.

  • I LOVE HOW YOU PLAY! i almost cryed!

  • that was directed at the guy below me.

  • like you leaving your home?.

  • Yeah... kind of.

    Kindly,

    Per-Olov

  • oh, god, it is like me leaving my home..

  • Viva Venezuela! :D

  • So full of love!!

  • such a gorgeous song...so full of feeling

  • Maravilloso!

  • Wow, your performance as well as the piece itself is very beautiful and attractive. I'm also practicing it in these days. I wonder what the behind story of this piece is. Can you tell me about it?

  • Thank you! Alfonso Montes told me the story behind it: he was forced to leave Venezuela after the "coup d'état" by Hugo Chavez. And this was composed thinking about closing the door to his house, sliding the door keys into the mailbox and knowing he would never return to see it again. It gives an idea how deep this is.

    Thanks for listening.

    Per-Olov

  • How do you get your little finger to reach the low E string as you do? It must be a techique I never master!!!!

    Love this piece.

  • Hi. Yes, this piece is so beautiful! I love it. And Alfonso Montes told me the story behind it and that makes it even more sad... :-(

To get your little finger up there you have to lower your thumb on the back of the neck so you can get around...

    Good luck!

    Per-Olov

  • Thanks you for the advice, but as a mere fat fingered fumbler of the fretboard I try... one day in my dreams.I have read your comments on your meetings with Alfonso Montes, that just adds beauty to the piece.

    Again, thanks.

  • w,,,wow

  • This is beautiful. Does anyone know where I can find tabs for this?

  • Absolutely Beautiful.

    Kind regards,

    Per-Olov

  • Peo,

This is one of my all-time favorite guitar pieces but your performance of it is what makes it so special. Again I will say that aside from your mastery of the guitar, there is an indescribable essence - your soul perhaps? - that makes the music all the richer. You exude it, your love of it, and it is carried across to the listener. This is a rare gift. It brings me to tears of appreciation.

I hope you do decide to make a dvd, just like this video-nothing fancy. It'll sell!

    Katherine

  • Dear Kathrine,

I am very honored and happy for your kind comment. It's good to know you can hear my strong feelings for this music. I want to play with my soul and get it throught to the listener. It's so nice to have it comfirmed from you. Thank YOU!!

    A DVD... hmmm we'll see. Maybe :-)

    Take care,

    Per

  • What a master piece in the hand of such virtuoso!!! you came to this world with a special mission, and is to captive people and make them happy with your playing. I can see in your face how you surrender to music ...

  • Thank you! I am very happy for your kind words. Maestro A. Montes was happy for my recording too and that makes me very happy.

    Thanks for listening!

    Kind regards,

    Per-Olov

  • Dear Mr. Per,

I am posting another comment here. I've seen your other playing, and I like this most. Your performance is just beautiful and simply perfect.

Now, I have learned the classical guitar since 6 months ago and your playings are encouraging me to practice further more. You moved and touched deep inside of my heart. Even I would cry...

Thank you for sharing your calm but great wonderful performance.

  • Thank you! I am honored you like my playing. And if I can make you cry nd smile, I am very happy!

    Kindly,

    Per-Olov

  • Dear Mr. Kindgren,

A friend of mine asked me to see (hear) your playing of my Preludio de Adios and I must say that it is simply beatiful. Great sound and very good "duende".

It is a joy to hear ones music so beatiful played.

    Thanks

    Alfonso Montes

  • ... Y pensar que yo le pedí a Pelle que interpretara esta pieza porque es muy hermosa. Gracias maestro por componer esta música. Es simplemente sublime.

    Saludos,

    Marieugenia

  • Ah! Muchas gracias Maestro! What an honor to play for you and read your kind comment! I love your music and when Marieugenia (lunslunanueva) asked me if I would play it for her, I just fell in love with it (and her). It will be a part of my standard repetoir on my future concerts. I had to look up the word "duende" and now I am even more honored. Thank you for taking your time to listen to me. Please keep doing that.

    Saludos desde Dinamarca!

    Pelle

  • Please send me an e.mail address to send you some other pieces not yet, or in the process of being published.

    Alfonso

PS: I just listened again to Preludio de Adios, really nice, and again great sound.

  • Dear Peo,

I like your art of playing the guitar very much.

After playing several of your compositions, I try to find the sheet of music for Preludio de Adios, but I was not able to buy it somewhere.

Can you tell me where I can order the guitar book from Alfonso Montes?

    Best regards Erwin

  • Once again Peo, you've rekindled my love for classical guitar. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful gift.

  • One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard! Peo Kindgren plays it with such feeling that I can't stop listening to it.

  • I love your style. You remind

me of Chopin. In the end, everybody

can play couple scales and tremolo.

But not everybody could make a simple

    piece poetic.

  • Hola, quisiera saber que guitarra usas...

  • Hola,

    Yo tocar una Philippe Jean-Mairet.

    Saludos,

    Per

  • Vielen Dank! I am happy for your kind words! Mr. KinGgren... LOL Great!! Thanks a lot!

    Per

  • How! You make the stills talk! And one simply has to listen. Great! From now on it's KinGgren for me!

  • Hola! Gracias! Si, I love a Venezuelan woman! She is very beautiful...

I am happy you listen to me a nd get some ideas for playing this beauitful music. And I love Reira too! I will post sometings by him here!

Feliz navidad y prospero año nuevo 2008.

    Saludos desde Dinamarca!

  • But no, Peo, dare you tell us a bit about your recording equipment? Microphone, pre-amp, noise reduction, A/D convertion, ect...?

I noticed a bunch of these candyrat guitarist using a stereo microphone... I think it was a Rode NT4. I guess stereo mics are good to place where "a listener" would sit because they are made to simulate how we hear with our ears. Anyhow, Peo, you are top of the line!

  • I have a AKG C460 mic. attached to the camera. In my videoeditingsoftware (Pinnacle)I add some reverb via a plugin and that's it really... it's very simple. And... I have a good guitar and practice a lot to have a good sound from my nails...

    Per

  • You know, I bounce around this place listening to a bunch of guitarist and I'll tell you there's NOTHING like coming back to Peo and hearing something recorded & posted in high quality, not to mention, his first rate ability and expression! I love it!

  • Thank you for your kind words. I am honored!

    Kindly,

  • I'm learning how to play guitar and I was born in Venezuela. It is wonderful how you play the guitar. I know that I am too old (48) to learn how to play guitar but I wish I could play some day 1/100 as you do.

By the way, I live in Portugal; how can I buy your CD's or your book.

Thank you very much for giving us delightful moments and a motivation to learn.

    Octavio

  • I'm 45 (I live in Denmark too), i have been playing for 3 months and I'll probably never learn to play well enough for anybody to want to listen. But I ENJOY the ride and that's what counts.

  • Hej Lotte, Jeg har ikke set denne kommentar før i dag. Ja, det er det at spille der regnes, ikke hvor mange der lytter..

    Keep playing! Glædelig Jul!

    Per

  • Hey, I was born there too! I left when I was 8 years old and went to Florida for 23 years. Would you believe I don't know Spanish anymore! It only took about a year to forget it.

  • But yeah, it's never too late... Especially is you still have your hands! lol

  • What a great piece. It would be relatively easy to learn the basics of it and a lifetime to master the intent of it as you have. Some days coming home and listening to a video of yours that I have not seen before feels like Christmas morning and a new train set.

  • Thank you! I am honored and happy for your words! I love this sad music too. It's so beautiful.

    Merry Christmas! LOL

    Per

  • Someone once told me that playing the blues is not about feeling sad - but more about celebrating the feelings a person has on the low end of the spectrum. When music is referred to as sad, I always think of it as pensive, as beautiful or as illustrative. I can't imagine trying to convey the opening of a morning flower with heavy metal. There is no sadness in this piece - just pensive beauty.

  • Hmmm... I like that! Thanks. I think you are right! Pure beauty!

    Per

  • How lovely, Peo. Beautiful piece (peace).

    May

  • Thank you May! I like your; "piece (peace)" comment!

    Peace to you too!

    I love this music too!

  • Very contemplative and nostalgic - and

    very beautifully interpreted (as usual).

Thank you for introducing the Venezuelan

composer for classical guitar. - Athan

  • Thank you Athan! Montes piece is really beautiful! I am working on some Lauro now.

  • As the giver of this song to us, you have to know this, often the "song" is our ony salvation, Peo, this interpretation has been my constant friend for days, I have listened to it over and over, and your interpretation. Know that all is not in vain, the song has been a needed medicine for my days ... continue my friend sharing the song...

  • Dear Donnie. Thank you for telling me this. I hope you are feeling better again. And I am honored you can/will use my guitar as "medicine".

    Thank you!

    Keep well,

    Per

  • Peo,the air around vibrates with your heartfelt notes, this is beauty itself, the space between the notes everything just in place like a natural puzzle. This is ART man and what a true joy to my ears. What do you think of my arrangement of Santana's "El Farol" please tell me Maestro,Victor.

  • Thank you Victor. I am very happy for your kind words. Oh! I love your El Farol!! Beautiful!! Thanks,

    Kindly,

    Peo

  • excellent playing as always, the musicality of your playing is just brilliant, btw, what guitar are you playing, it has a beautiful sound

  • Thank you. Appreciated! Yes, it's a great guitar! It's a Philippe Jean-Mairet from Switzerland. 20 years old next month!

    Kindly,

    Per

  • You have a great tone and your playing is excellent. You actually have color in your pieces, which is better in my opinion then being able to play Caprice No. 24 at break neck speed or any such piece for that matter. You have what few guitarists have, the ability to bring out the full dynamic range of the instrument. Keep up the good work!

P.S. You should learn Stélé by phillip houghton, you could do wonders with it.

  • Hi! thanks. THAT is exectly my idea about music: you have to want to tell a story with the music! Otherwise it's meaningless. And music is not a competition, it's ART and that is why I play. I am happy you can hear that!

    Thanks.

    Peo

  • Love this piece and your interpretation ... a fan here for sure ... also like the question before this, I would love to know the audio and video equipment you are using ... great prodution and such a warm and fitting sound ... thank you for all of the postings ... just all fabulous ... it's music ...

  • Thank you! Regading sound: Read the previous reply...

I am happy oyu like my way of playing!

    Kindly,

    Peo

  • Apologies if you are have been asked this before but I'm interested in what recording equipment you are using.

All your videos come out so clear in the audio.

  • I have worked hard all my life to get a good sound from my guitars.

    I have a good guitar! :-)

I have an external mic connected to the camera. The one in the camera sucks! :)

    Kindly,

    Peo

  • Boy.. I like that guitar.. *sigh*

The perfection just keeps comming and comming.. you must have about 5000 video's now :P

  • 5000 minus 4875... probably...

Yeah, I love that guitar too! :-) The love of my life!

Thank you for still listening to me.

    Keep well,

    Peo

  • By the way.. I like the wide screen idea!!

  • LOL. Thanks! y camera can record in wide screen so why not use it... I thought...

    Peo

  • Gives a Hollywood effect. Very pro!

  • I agree. Gives the video a documentary feel....Titled kind of something like "Peo's Rise to Eminence" or "Peo Kindgren - Hypnotizing the Masses - Is he a danger?" I am thinking of filing a class action suit against Peo for millions of dollars because of the all the time have watched his videos. Somehow, drawn into them. :-)~

    great Video Peo!

  • Great idea! lol

I want to file a suit against him for something else. :P

  • Hi there!! :-) What have I done now? I am just a humble guitarist trying to spread some music and here I am getting sued all the time! I am the most kind and humble person on this planet, and here I myself in deep trouble! Argh... sigh...

LOL I am kidding (as always)...

    Please keep listening to me!

    Hugs,

    Peo

  • Hi my dear friend. LOL. "Peo goes to the movie" Ha! Please don't sue me!! I have no money!! :-( But please keep listening to me. It's nice to know you still are.

    Thank you!

    and keep well!

    Sandy

  • Dear Sandy,
