MAins is a good state outdoors, but the people suck. I think the MAiners are the absolute worst people in the Northeast, I hate them with a passion. They hate TOURISTS!! You're retarded. Maine is probably one of the nicest places to live. So let's take a tally off the good things Maine has: Rich people, President Bush's house in Kennebunkport, an Olympian, Ian Crocker, and a whole lot less asshole that Michigan. The summers here are very nice and warm, but not to hot. Don't see why you'd want it hotter. And Ann Arbor is at almost the same latitude as Boston, which is 2 hours south of Portland, so it's gunna be the same temperature. O, and we also have the ocean.

Got a little home sick but once I settled in and realized how nice the people were there I could totally see myself raising a family there one day God willing. I just moved to Virginia from Portland... I miss it so much. I absolutely love Harbor Fish market. As far as the mountain view, it depends on which way you go. If you go west, its only a couple hours to the White Mountains, but the real treat is to head north towards Moosehead Lake, where I have a camp. Some of the most beautiful sights in the Northeast.

I am a displaced Mainer living in North Carolina and believe me the only thing "North" about this state is it's name. I greatly miss my home in New England. I left a single man and am now a proud husband and father of two wonderful girls. Thanks for this. I trully enjoyed watching. I lived in the Portland area and the last home I owned there is in South Portland. I hope to someday move back raise my girls in what I consider to be the best place in world to do so.
