for those debating on the age. every culture is different. Specially as the time changed over the years. Some places they may be considered adults at age 15 where USA it's 18 (thoughin some states 15/16 but only with parents consent when it comes to relationships with those older than 18). Since this story was based I'm assuming pre WW2 then it might have been okay at that time.

The film is very good but the book by A. Golden is just gorgeous. A beautiful piece of literature.

I like this video, the song reminds me of one of Sayuri's quotes:

My favorite moment of her (little chiyo) is when she looks up to the city from the roof top. Just her beautiful face soaked with such a emotion. How adorable she was. I think she is 15 now and allthough she is still cute , but nothing spectecular. Buy the way, her real eye color is brown.

It follows Chyio who is the main character and her fight to become one of Gion's top Geisha and the struggles, heartache and emotion. It's a film worth watching! I'd recommend it!
