@sweetvegan74 There have been attempts to trap them, but they are too street smart to be caught. To my knowledge, only 2 kittens from last year ended up in a home. This colony has been around for countless generations. When you see them run around, play and share affection together it's hard to say they would be at an advantage split up and stuck indoors for a long, fat life. They don't all survive or live into their teens, but they live unconfined while alive.
If homes cannot be found then TNR would be the option for all the cats. Managed ferals live happier, better & longer lives then out of control ones.
Kittens especially under 3 months can all be trapped and tamed if you work hard at it. Humane traps & drop traps can be used for hard to catch kits.
I've seen this all my life & just feeding & letting them run & mate freely just makes things worse.. Kittens get eaten by raccoons, toms get ripped to shreds for territory..females always pregnant..
Is there a TNR program for this colony? Were the kittens trapped and in foster homes?

@sweetvegan74 I understand your concern. We all work hard at doing the best we can for them.

@yowzee
If you really want to help and cannot do TNR. Ask for help with someone that does. Also if you do not fix, do NOT feed. It just makes things worse.
