since they get no assistance from the guy under the bar or the guy helping the guy under the bar it basicly means they would have to be able to bicepscurl around 200kgs each to hold the bar ;)
Dude that's 800+ lbs there at least, nobody is gonna be able to spot you when you go down like that. Looks like his wraps were too tight and his knee shifted perhaps.
Thank you. It warms my heart to read such a wonderful message. I would love to do more of this, but alas it won't pay my bills, so my first priority is in my academic work... I cant promise anything for the 2008 SHW ipf, but I'll see what I can do.
what appeals to me in this video is this mesmerizing combination of HEAVY squats done by pro's with the KICK ASS choise of music. May be it's also rage speaking in me since I'm going to a jym with the only one squat track and pussy music playin' around the clock in there (ever tried squating with destiny's child music...not very encharging ffs) still when I do my squats I give 110 % of me to them (20 reps breathing squats routine(aka squat & milk))
Awesome vid. Bondarenko makes 435kg look so easy. If the technology was available at the time, PTC (piece to camera) of lifters with country and weight attempted. Otherwise great viewing overall I prefer IPF than others like WPC, WPO etc. Thanx KraftsportNO and Youtube
Information about what the lifters lifted in each attempt is available from several internet sites. I simply choose not to include it in the video, because it would take a shitload of time. Those interested enough will be able to find the names and amount of weight for each attempt on the internet. I do this in my spare time, and I have a demanding schedule, so I try to save time where I can.
Hey kraftsportNO!!! Fuckin awsome vid brother. Based on wilkes formula points totals, these huge massive guys can't quite match it with the little guys, but they sure can push shit uphill if you know what I mean. I think any metal music goes well with any powerlifting/ squat video. Bondarenko's AWESOME.
Well, it is what everybody does. Most of them could have put it back themselves, but it is about safety as well. After lifting 400kg, it is okay to get some help to put the weights back.
Yes agreed, but WPO is a different federation with different rules. Let those that want to use canavas suits and squat high compete in that federation. Those lifters are still incredibly strong tough... And those who want to go in single ply - there is the IPF...

that can't be 125 kilograms?? It has to be more than that? ?

It's the minimum bodyweight of the participants. They do between 350 and almost 450kg (Bondarenko the big russian guy)

Wow, I reiterate again, great video!
Your youtube videos and lifting site is really doing a great service for all us lifters, and aspiring world class lifters out there.
Now my only hope is that you'll make another one for the 2008 SHW ipf squat ;)

I wonder why they want you to walk it out but not re-rack it yourself. That would probably be a pain in the ass.

I love IPF squatting.
Narrow stance and deep as hell.
Have to walk it out.
So much better than the terrible squatting in the WPO.
