@number1goat Depression has been a constant battle with me. It's never been severe, but I did go a bit crazy. Functioning with everyday things was tougher than ever and still can be. I was drowned out from happiness. But instead of fighting the battle on my own, i cried out to God for Him to hear me, and i felt Him. His hand was on my shoulder reminding me He was always with me. Depression left me in ruins and ashes, but God lifted me from the rubble and freed me. I'll pray for you!

From what I understand, Shawn sings this song from his core. He knows what it is like to be like dirt and ashes and without hope. I get teary eyed to think about Jesus' healing and transforming power in the sinner's life. No matter what filth we have been in, He can make us clean and raise us up.
