I bought the album because I loved it, and it was rare FYE played something that was actually cool.

I still don't know anything about Neil Finn or Crowded House, but I hope Liam does more because every song on that CD is amazing.

You should check out Neil if you like Liam =) The Finn Brothers, Neil Finn's solo stuff, Crowded House, Tim Finn, and Split Enz. The whole family is phenomenal imo. I love the Finns <3 Neil's song "Driving me mad" in particular reminds me of Liam (maybe Liam did the backing vocals on it).

You're right, it is a very peaceful place (unless somebody's ringing the bell to announce the arrival of the bride!:)). It overlooks Judges Bay at the bottom of Parnell in Auckland and then across the water to Devonport and Rangitoto.

Liam wrote this about Paul Hester, the drummer from crowded house (his father, neil's band). Liam used to call paul "uncle". But in 2002 Paul hung himself in a public park. It was one of those things that makes you want to cry, shout, and bum all at the same time.

I'm a huge Neil Finn fan, Liam is certainly churning out some equally excellent tunes. Second Chance was great, and this lingers beautifully looking forward to getting the album. Saw him support Finn Brothers as part of Lester Obsbourne and he's a great live. He really deserves greater recognition hopefully 2008 will be his year. You can't beat breeding!

This is wonderfully done. Meaningful, tasteful, beautifully shot. I like how it's basically a procession into the chapel, where the dark part of the song happens (grief), and it comes back out into the light where he is on the road again with his guitar, ready to play on.

I can't imagine it being done better. I will definitely look out for this director - Joe Lonie. Very impressed (and i'm quite the cinemaphile).
