Does anyone know of an english patch of the PS1 port? I've only played the GBA version, which sucks because based on what I hear, it's a butchered port, though I perfer the art style of the GBA/PS1 ports. This port looks even...fast paced, compared to the GBA port. In that port, every spell stops time and slows you down, and the best team has THREE CASTERS.

If I wanted an SNES port, I'll eventually figure out a way to patch the infamous Dejap translation. This one...not sure. Does anyone know?

@Saber698 Absolute Zero made a patch for the PS1 version. Search for "Absolute Zero Phantasia translation" or something similar.

@ZeromusX Thanks for that. I'm still a little shaky with patching, and I still have yet to get a PSX emulator, but I intended to anyways, and this is definitely a start. It appears he's patched other games too, so I'll have to look deeper into it. Thanks for the suggestion! :)

@ZeromusX Sorry to bother you again, but it appears this wasn't originally intended for emulators. Are you using this with an emulator or an actual disk? The readme file on the patch described it as patching an ACTUAL real life disk into a file and burning it. However, they did say in the FAQ it works with emulators. My guess is to get a ROM and use a tool program to patch the ROM for a PSX emulator with the patch. If you used an emulator, was the process similar to this? If not, Thanks anyways.

Hmm, maybe Kratos gave him angel powers or Yuan? .....They are the only ones left that were from the original. It would be so awesome if Kratos or Yuan had a cameo in the game!! ...Then again, either of them would kill Dhaos after they see what he is doing to the world. Anyways, awesome video! XD

These 2 games are in the same universe, facts like only elves and half-elves can use magic, the eternal sword, vorpal sword and flamberge, even the damn blue lined shield, the similarities are no coincidence, ToS and ToP share the sane universe exept some thousends of years separate both games

no; see Dhaos's castle was so tall, when Cless and co. reach the top, they are in space and then Dhaos removes all obstacles.

I have the GBA version of this and I didn't fight him til I was breaching the level 100's with Cress. I died twice, and I believe everyone had their strongest equips.

Dhaos's homeworld is Derris Kharlan, and his final form looks like an angel...obviously both Yggdrasil and Dhaos are angels from there so I was just concurring your statement.

And yeah, ToS is a distant presequel to ToP.

i have no idea how i beat this guy but i did.

my entire party was wiped out from phaser dhaos and i actually killed plume dhaos(last form) with only cless.

i cornered him somehow and kept using lunge.

I'm not sure about the rom (I own the actual game), but I do enjoy an emulator called PSXfin.
