i walways tell myself throughout the day or night i will lucid dream. and like 9 times out of 10 i do. and i think the 1% i just forget that i did. but intention is key i believe.
I have been drawing a big blue L on my left hand, I frequently look at it, and it has been working amazingly, I've noticed so many different things about my hand, one thing triggered a 10second lucid dream (that I can remember), I've also had a new repetitive dream, I look into my palms deeply and fall into them and wake up, this has happened about 3 or 4 times since I've started this method. =)
sometimes dream entities are more real then people with bodies mind and feeling. i find the beings i meet in lucid dreams always trying to bring me out of the lucid dream state. sometimes i become so aware i just wake up and there is no flow of spirit to my dream
i still havent had a really lucid dream but i have had been able to take control and know that im dreaming. and if i dream in the morning i feel more happy if i have had a fun dream :D
I didn't think about lucid dreaming a lot lately but a few years ago I really got into this. That WILD never worked really good for me, I think in fact it only worked once for me, I'm more into the other method you described. It happens kinda often I realize I'm dreaming so I try to start a lucid dream and I had some really interesting experiences with that. I'm very familiar with the spinning you described. Almost everytime it feels like I'm...
...feeling like I'm hitting the wall next to my bed what gets me a bit anxious sometimes. By spinning on and on I can like switch to a different scenario - or experience some kind of void. I also experienced some kind of mental explosion a few days ago but thats very hard to describe I'm afraid. And now I forgot what I actually wanted to say...anyway, it's a bit hard to control the dreams sometimes, sometimes making the dreams what I want them to be :D.
Reading stuff about LD also helped me to understand a lot of things like sleeping paralysis or hypnagogic pictures.
And also besides lucid dreaming dreams are a very interesting subject. They're fascinating every time I can remember them. They're always somewhat bizarre and mysterious and there's always something funny about them but them.
with me. i got two types. free style and one i can control.. but when i wake up, my dreams goes away and its like impossible to get it back to where u left off .. i mean u can go back but it doesn't play like a video like how you was before waking up.
Hilarious.. I often use the spinning method.. Its also a way to Astral Project.. I've never had reghular success with either though, which gets frustrating!! but the experience of them is "something out of this world"..lol ;-)
I had a few lucid dreams recently. Every other time i started going lucid i would get excited and subconsciously wake up. It sucks. Much like the highest rated comment guy and all the people that agreed with him. But, recently, it actually worked. However, both times i drank alcohol before sleeping. Seemed to help. I don't remember what i dreamt, but i remember being able to control it. I wish i was in a coma, but was lucid dreaming the whole time. :) Gah. That'd make for a good movie. Maybe?
I went to a place where there was beautiful rivers, reeds, water, and a school for mystics, I met a being while in the water (you can bounce on the water here) and I went toward something, and ended up at a school where I was learning to levitate, when I realized that this wasn't seemingly possible in this reality where I normally live, I fell to the ground and it kind of hurt. Then I went back into several vibrational zones, three, one was a place with a large house, and then a place with...
@purpleplease with a telephone, then I went into a vibrational zone where I was in this reality as a remember it and was very shocked because My body had gone through some very interesting shifts from this point, and it felt like seizures each time I came down a zone. So I was sweating and actually spinning in my bed, then my roommate came and kissed me on the cheek, and I was filled with love energy and it healed my body, then...
@purpleplease I came back to reality as we know it. Very interesting how they do it in other planes of existence. A psychic told me that I had been there before when I was about 7, she was right, I remembering thinking "this has been cleaned up nicely". I was thinking "I was back, and yet I'm not back". Was this my home? I think it may be.
the light switch method is very like the egyptian method when every time you go through a door while awake they had a practice of every door they walked through they would knock the door and ask am I awake or am I asleep and the habit would stick and they would eventually do it in sleep and realise they were dreaming.
I can remeber my dreams, but its never anything like flying take 4 instance last night...........
i was in a esso garage next to the chocolate bars & was fighting a rockreila over some snicker bars, the dog backed away but as soon as i went to eat a snicker bar he got really angry! thats all i can remeber!!!!
the most amazing lucid dream I've ever had was a couple years ago when I decided to blast off into the sky, I was soaring around Vancouver at night, I could control wherever I wanted to go so I swooped down into the city and was going so fast I blew these old peoples hats off, and then I flew through the forest under the stars it was the greatest.
To induce lucid dreams: begin by bathing in goat's blood & olive oil. After dryin off, cover yourself in peanut butter & bacon grease. Insert garlic up your nose & mushrooms in your ears (preferably psilocybin). Guzzle a glass of cat urine. Next, spin in a circle chanting "kaka poo poo stinky pants". Stick a thumb up your butt & repeatedly hit yourself in the face with a hammer until unconscious. After which you will elapse into sleep & experience the single most vivid lucid dream of your life
This is the most amazingly fantastic girl I have ever seen. My god is she so beautiful and smart that it hurts to watch her. I lucid dreamed all the time when I young. I also made a journal of it. I have also trippedi in my dreams too.
has anyone ever heard of the dreaming herd it was used the natives of oaxaca mexico its an herb bruid intoa tea or smoked before bed used for lucid dreaming you can get it on bouncing bear botanicals
I've managed to intentionally lucid dream a couple of times, but unfortunately, both times I had a false awakening which is apparently quite common with lucid dreams. I've really only been able to keep my dreams lucid for what feels to be about 30 seconds in my dream.
hi. im glad you posted this as my friend not long back said he had a lucid dream and he could control what he was doing. i didnt believe him but now you have this tutorial im going to give it a go. sounds mega fun :] il report back soon.
I just kinda started this last night, I slept a lot to have lots of dreams, and on of them turned into a nightmare... I was being stabbed and attacked by some kind of beings in an arena. When I awoke I immediately went back to sleep to get into the same dream, which worked really well, although i didn't become fully awake as if to shape and control my dreams, I gained the ability to fly and shoot energy from my body. So I demolished the arena and everything in it :p. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT!
i lucid dream from time to time. i think it's an awesome experience...
everyone seems to fly in their dreams. i've always wondered why. it's almost as if it is a component of our minds. why do we share this experience? once again another thought provoking vid...
Skipping sleep for 4 or 5 nights and being desperately hungover afterwards from a weeks drinkingand then on top of that trying to sleep in a stuffy crowded airplane will induce the most frightening dreams and semi dreams imaginable . . . however It also resembles a psychotic episode as I couldnt disginuish sounds on the plane from sounds in my dreams and on more than one occasion I answered people in my dreams out loud . . . so very interesting to analyze afterwards though
I find setting my alarm clock to go off every 10 minutes, and falling back asleep between each alarm. I have the most bizarre and spectacular semi-dream states . . . I often Find i cannot distinguish between my dreams and reality
WILD worked for me once. I woke up for over an hour (deliberately) about 5 hours after going to sleep.
Back in bed as the imagery started I could see a road, so I began to imagine myself walking into the road and slowly I felt more and more like it was happening until suddenly I ended up in on the road in a dream.
Annoyingly I still haven't been able to maintain an LD for very long or to get anything done that I've been hoping to yet.
One time when i was dreaming, i saw my self from a satilight view ( Like from abouve) And i looked up at myself and sed oh,,,, im dreaming, i think i'll wake up then, bye :) then i woke up. Even though i knew i was dreaming i still didnt have control, i just told myself i was gona wake up now, lol :\ and even when shit happend that i know isnt possible i still dont realy seem to notice, or care would be a better choice of words. Do you know anything that i can do to help me out with that?
set an alarm for the middle of the night for a few days get up and go back to sleep be conscious that you are going to dream after a few weeks you might be able to be lucid
The bit about spinning after you become lucid...I've used something similar, which is where I rub my hands together vigorously to keep my lucidity. Also, never blink when you're in a dream!
I've only ever had one lucid dream, was pretty awesome and I occasionally go to bed with the intention of doing it (hasn't worked yet though heh) I cant really be bothered to write a dream journal or anything though.
I like to count my fingers and rub my hands together and snap my fingers while contemplating reality heh. floating is a great sign too. falling backwards is good too if you can't force yourself to spin before getting excited. MILD is pro and naps are great too. if you can perfect the WILD for naps you'll live a pure double life!
I could do it as a kid but i havnt been able to do it for ages. I also get flying dreams though, but its always the wind blowing me about and im scared that it will stop blowing and ill hit the floor so its not realy a flying dream.
look up the author stephen laberge. he's the top authority on lucid dreaming research, as well as sleep research in general (I think). I also think he might have invented one of those methods you mentioned
Sometimes i become aware that im in a dream and then can control whats happening eg make myself fly etc. But many times im still aware im in the dream but i lose the ability to control whats happening. Its funny at times iv lost the ability to make myself fly and then left my self in danger of some people after me or something.
Ive been thinking of doing something like that - to have a tape recorder or note book to write them down. Sometimes i wake up and remember the dream then go back to sleep and later i cant remember it and its really annoying.
I have alot of luicd dreams, it comes to me very often. My mind always goes 100mph all the time. My best bets are wakeing up and going back the dream.
The easiest way to see if you're dreaming is to plug your nose and try to breathe. If you're dreaming, you'll be able to breathe even though your nose is plugged, just like how you can breathe underwater in dreams.
Also to stop myself from waking up in dreams I just yell really loud in my dream and focus on yelling, and it usually helps to stabilize it.
I had plenty of lucid dreams as a child, until about age 12...I used to tell my friends and others in the dream, that I was dreaming, and they were in my dream..When they wouldn't believe me, I would lay down on the ground, close my eyes, count to four, then I would be awake..Then I would go back asleep, into the same dream, and the people in the dream would be blown away, telling me that I disappeared , then reappeared.
Ive only ever once had a truly lucid deam. Once I realised it I took full control. There was somekind of "killer" after my mom and grandma at my grams house(which was in a desert for some reason). When I found the "killer" I purposefully changed my right arm and hand into a sort of "Giant Mallet" and brought it down upon him. Thus crshing and killing the "killer"
I dreamt I went to a Silver beach, a few weeks later went on a short holiday and found myself on a beach with silver sand, exactly the same as in my dream, not similar, exactly the same!
The only other time I've seen a silver sand beach was on a science documentary about Time!
I kept a dream diary for a month, years ago....I had two dreams, that I wrote down, that came true about a week after I dreamed them...Details such as the people, what they were wearining, and what we said, came true exactly as I dreamed it.
I would do it a lot when i was little. I would pinch myself to figure out I was dreaming. Iv haven't had a lucid dream since I was about 12. Iv kinda of woken up during my dreams and gone back into them but it still never really clicks that its a dream.
i walways tell myself throughout the day or night i will lucid dream. and like 9 times out of 10 i do. and i think the 1% i just forget that i did. but intention is key i believe.
