  • Build Ford Tough!

  • what would be more impressive to me is if that had a 4.6L and dragged that out. i know thats a 5.4L, i love my 281 and 330 cid engines, FORD IS THE BEST!!!!!! same with Jeep, BUT I LOVE MY FORDS!!!!!!!!!!

  • not a fan

  • yea i had a 24 foot bayliner i bought at a boat show and i leased a 1500 dodge ram and the guy told me i needed a hemi but i didnt and it was well enough to tow the boat so yep.

  • nice boat

  • What year is your truck?

  • That is awesome. We bought a 2007 MDX last year, and I just found out while shopping for a 240 or 260 sundancer I cant pull it with the MDX! So now im looking at some F150s. I see that your f150 is even the older generation and made that look easy. Amazing. How do you like your 240? Does it have the 5.0 or 5.7?

  • @efthimios actually, the 5.0L for that generation was replaced by the 4.6L. theres no 5.7L from ford. that truck has a 5.4L. you want that power, you outta get a 5.4L. idk if the 4.6L will pull it, most likely will but it will know its there. but to be on the safe side, grab a 5.4L and you'll be set. :DDD

  • @efthimios I have an 89 270 da sundancer and am pulling it with a 2004 toyota sequoia.

Now of course you'd better have it in 4low and all diff locks ON. From LA to las Vegas I take it about twice a year. -It's heave on the car of course and a load leveling tripple axel trailer is also a must but can be done. When I have time I'll post a vid. I think I only have still shots of My Toy towing my other toy.

  • Nice video what is the year of the boat?

  • Ford Tough, since its an older model, I bet your a few 1,000LB past towing capacity but your truck appear to be handling it well. I have to ask these only have around 235-260HP stock so is it gutless on the hills?, have you had any tranny issues and does it brake ok?

  • is that 4x4

  • Yeah, I had to get rid of my 01 F150 didn't think I ever would. I don't know what people are thinking with jap trucks it's pathetic.

  • Nice f-in boat brother. Don't know about the truck though, should have got a Titan, LOL! You know I'm kidding. I just coughed up about 45K today for a new F350. I hope no Toyotas pick on me on my next road trip.

  • @bisquik3006 lol did you see the rating they newer Ford superdutys are the 3'rd lowest rated vehicles out there. so they might lol. still a nice truck though so enjoy.

  • I have brakes on four of the 6 wheels on the trailer stopping is no problem I can lock them up if I have too.

  • hahaha so many mastercraft owners talkcrap about searays its pretty funny cuz master craft is making a yaght

  • Thats a bigass boat.

  • i just got a 24' sea ray and its seems like when your pulling a big boat every body is cutting in front of you at stop lights and such

  • i got a 23 ft bertram and the 80 series landcruiser pulls it fine.. with certain modifications ;)

  • I tow a 34ft Searay, launch and retrieve it with a 3/4 ton Suburban no problems piece of cake tripple axle 18,000lb capacity trailer. 10,500 dry 12,500 wet+. I also towed a 268 Searay over 30,000 miles with a 1/2 ton Chevy Blazer with a 305 engine.

  • let's see the video then!

  • I only have a video of the set-up ready for travel and I will respond to that however I do not have a video of a launch and retreval I will try to remember to do that this fall its,I just launched the boat last tuesday. Didnt think about filming that .

  • cool cool car car...

  • crazy bastards.. part of the rating is for stopping, not pulling.

You'll find out how much you can tow when you tow it into a family at a red light.

  • if your pullin the boat out there shouldnt be any beer, it should have been gone lol sorry but i still highly doubt it weighs even that, you can believe what you want. my boat weighs right at 9900 lbs and its only a 30ft, twin engines 62 gal of gas(210gal capacity), 35 gal water 7500 btu ac, 5.5 kw gen., 4 dive tanks, that's boat only, trailer is another 1100 lbs. ditch the steel trailer and go with an aluminum, half the weight and they hold their resale value longer. but belive what you want...

  • Nice F-150. this reminds me of my dads friend who has a 1991 F-350 with the 460ci gas engine that has 320,000 miles from driving on a farm, in the city and haulin 7,000 pounds of scrap in the bed of the truck which is a lot considering that its rated for only like 3500 pounds in the bed. Never had to replace the transmission either.

  • Obviously the truck is powerfull enough to tow this boat, but it must to be over the trucks weight towing capacity. does it stop ok, or handle ok for being so heavy on that truck? that was a problem on our old f150 with a 302 V8 pulling our 20ft. searay, it towed it fine, it just didn't stop well or handle good.

  • that appears to be a 240 sundancer which weighs around 7200 lbs loaded with trailer that truck should easily be able to tow a 7500 lb load... to me this is a small load... i own a '86 searay amberjack which is 35ft overall w/ trailer and has a loaded weight of 10,900 lbs(with both gas tanks topped off) and pull it with a 1/2 ton dodge no problems, if the truck AND trailer is set up right you dont even notice its back there...

  • i didnt even read the info till just now lol but anyways, that boat cant weigh 8500 lbs, the newer style searays use a lot of foam coring in the stringers, bulkheads, even the hull its self, our old boat which was an '81 cobia that had 1 inch plywood stringers, 2 inch thick solid fiberglass from the upper chine to the keel, and 2-1/2 inch thick solid wood transom. that boat weighed 7000 lbs loaded w/o trailer. sorry but i know a little too much about boats lol i was born and raised on them...

  • LMao. Ford barly even squating or none at all. I'm seen Chevy with EMPTY trails not BIG pretty small squat pretty bad. Funny.

  • nice man i myself own an 18' bayliner you have a very nice boat bro good job

  • my moms got a ford expedition 2003 with the 4.6 but i wish she would have got the 5.4 cause they kick ass but we still get good milage First On Race Day

  • Cool VIdeo. Being Built Ford Tough is Clearly TOUGH ENOUGH! You've got the big daddy 4door F150 too! Very cool! All these comments on here appear to be from a bunch of fuckin buttplumbers by the way. Grow Up.

  • HAHA thank you man! glad you like it!

  • you need to get help. for serving in iraq you cant spell it right, and you dont have ANY respect. Why are you so persistant that I am a homosexual? I AM ANTI-GAY I HATE THOSE QUEERS.

  • another thing Sea ray is a boat manuf. that has class, elegance, and style. EVERYWERE I GO I HEAR "WOW THAT IS A NICE LOOKING SEA RAY." let me take a guess on what kind of boat you have kid... maby a 16ft Aluminum Lund? your profile says your 21 but i have a hard time trusting that. If you are 21 then you need to grow up and act mature not like a highschool girl. FOR CRYIN OUT LOUD! please take your ignorance and jelousy elsewere. I have more important things to do then deal with your nonsence

  • Its people like you that disgust me pal. The one thing about it is when you say you served for 2 years wow my dad fought in nam served 4 years in that hell hole. The way you sound is like 2 years is like 10 years btw it is not this is very typical of chevy people too you try to talk to compensate for the balls you don't have.

  • i love ford V8s my moms truck has a 5.4L it sounds kick ass with the stock exhaust i want her to get a cat back so it sounds better. but that is kick ass that you go over its limit and still works well BUILT FORD TOUGH
