Bill and Greig have different singing and songwriting styles, i don't know how did they get along, Bill is more indie rockish while Greig is more punkish just like sum 41. The one thing I do have to give him credit for is early day Sum 41, and, amazingly, he wasn't responsible for Underclass Hero.

I like the earlier version better. Guitars are more cleaner sounding in the original. This one is too well, commercial and very choppy, the vocals and guitar seems too restrained. The original flows a lot better. The video for this one seems a little more interesting than the original tho. Makes a little a more sense. The first one seems more like a model shoot (the Asian girl is kinda cute tho.)
Guitars are cleaner in the original? You mean in the verse, right, cause theres an awesome fuzz in the chorus. I agree about the guitars, and this version may be a bit overproduced, but I think the original is under produced. Not necessarily needing a polished sound, but a more layered sound, like this one with the backup vocals and droning guitars. Sounds more shoegaze. And the drums in the first one were brutal. Thin sounding, unrestrained, and off time at places.
About the video, I think the original videos imagery suited the song better. This one's kind of corny, regardless of making sense. Now I feel like syncing this audio with the old video. But that would be your nightmare wouldn't it? lolololo
