  • Torchy can't sing one note in tune

  • A bit scary for tiny tots!

  • Personally I think torchy looks like a naval officer with a bulb on his head and he sings like an old person. You can also see the strings that are used to act the story

  • I think I know why bossyboots is a little fat. She eats junk food

  • um - they all look like theyre all drug crazed...bossy boots has smoked one or two too many blunts, and torchy an the other girl look like serious acid heads.

  • I know its all good memories an that, i watched it as well as a kid, and loved it. but.....they all look a bit drug-crazed, dont they?.....Torchy dropped an E, bossy boots is stoned, and the other girl looks like shes whacked on speed......

  • ..

  • weird shit. cunts

  • Being American I have never heard of this so when I saw this I have to say this is the weirdest wildest thing I have ever seen meant for children. Absolutely HILARIOUS! I dont think we had anything like this here. I thoroughly enjoyed this! Thanks!

  • @jimdevo Are you sure? Have you ever seen Ren & Stimpy?!? What was that all about?

  • @randomsamno9 Actually you know what? Ren and Stimpy were pretty wild and so was Pee Wee's Playhouse and those K Gordon Murray movies from the '60s come to think of it. But still this is pretty far out there.

  • bread and buttah

  • I watched this as a kid,I didn't realise torchy was on LSD! Terribly posh but scary!

  • I didn't like Torchy much as a kid, but I can't help cheering when he shoved that cream pie in the horrid girl's face.

  • I SAY! Such wicked, horrid children!

  • i was too scared to watch it!

  • I like the part at: 0.19

"I'm not hungry for bread and butter, I'm hungery for cake, and I'm going to eat every one of them!". "Ok then, you'd better eat this one first!!!" ~ !! Splat !! ~

    LMFAO!!! That was Wicked!!!

Torchy's got a mean steak in him XD

To have your cake and eat it? NO!

To have your cake and wear it? YES!

  • i like that song when your asleep,i'd love to hear it again.

  • Ahhh, at last now I see where the demise of our country came from, child abuse, violent disorder, terrorism, dodgy battery salesmen and the collapse of the banking system.

I must post this to Gordon Brown, there's a lesson or two here.

  • I had to make another comment listening to the song I cant remember any child my age then being naughty well a little but we were always told this. anyway what I am getting at is this should apply to the kids of today most of them.

  • gosh this is the first tv i remember as a child I am now 54 sheesh

  • Same as me ! This used to frighten me

  • you must have been a smart kid, because i loved this, and it never frightened me, but seeing this now, WOW, he's a little scarey

  • i'm your double, i'm also 54, you must remember, andy pandy, bill & ben, twizzle, great, not only to see these again, but also hear people who remember them

  • horrible snooty english accents really date this otherwise acceptable childrens show. But in 1950's Britain everything on tv had this horrible dialect.

  • Julie Andrews has it in MARY POPPINS, does she not?? And Dick VanDyke fake accent is also terrible!! Is it not?? ( this way of confirming something with a question is what I find annoying)

  • I had forgotten exactly how POSH they were well no I dont think that I realised at the time!

  • i agree with bossy boots. the song was a load of shite,

  • Who scripted this? Where did they get that much LSD from?

  • Whaaaaa?

  • Is this from Series 1 or 2? That glass smashing bit was rather Orson Welles.

  • how f**king freaky.:/

  • only 'cause you didnt grow up with it!

  • lol i did actually. owneeeeeedd. :)

  • Ok. I did to LOL.!!

  • oh what childhood memories....

  • I've not seen Torchy for about 42 years! It was apparently one of the first productions of Gerry "thunderbirds" Anderson. Thanks for these.

  • "Smack them hard instead"

Hmmmm.... couldn't say that now. The wonders of what you could do with 50's/60's TV.

  • a moral little tale!

  • nice
