She is a half redneck (her words, she had a great sense of humor) half Peruvian and Muslim, and the class was diverse. She said, no one is Black and no one is White. We are all shades or Brown. We compared our arm colors. It was true! It really helped the students see diversity in a different way and I think it would help everyone.
