OMG this video made me tear up! Being a band member at AHS was one of the best times of my life. Watching this brought it all back, from Wednesday night rehearsals to the wood blocks at band camp, a true reflection of the tradition if excellence. Well done!

Graduated class of '98 (94-97 marching season). I didnt care about much aside from band. I am still proud to have been a member. I instructed marching bands in Southern Nevada and even if they had never seen AHS they knew about the Apache Marching Band. The color gaurds stood in awe of Arcadia's Color gaurd. It made me proud every time. I can't wait to see the whole thing.

My time at AHS definitely prepared me for more seriously challenging marching when I got to UCLA, but I never lost that sense of pride when I snapped my trombone up, Apache-style.. It's a shame the ranks weren't straighter in most of those shots - we would have railed on that when I was in hs.

Class of '96... Center Snare...I shed tears when I watched this. The Tradition of Excellence began with Ron Hoar, has continued with Tom Landes, and will continue with whoever steps in after Landes' retirement (I assume Kevin Sherrill). Make this a season to remember for eternity. Snap that hand into the small of your back... PA-CHE!

Side Note for Percussionists: If you guys are still doing the pre-show chant about Fear, Pain, and Defeat... It started in '95!!!

The Arcadia HS Apache Marching Band has been a successful parade band for many years and they are a fine example of what it takes to be one of the best. No other parade band in CA has had the successful longevity as does this fine organization, making them one of the most watched and recognized parade bands out there. I’m glad they're going to the 2012 Rose Parade and represent our state very well. Congratulations on ALL your accomplishments and achievements throughout the years.
