the film right? cuz that would be called the "opening tittle." the kite runner not only was an amazing book, movie, it also had an awesome soundtrack. very 'culture-full'.

may i recommend "Fly A Kite?" its my favorite. totally ties the entire story together!

Khaled Hosseini hates ethnic Afghans, who are called Pashtoons! He himself belongs to the Qazilbash tribe (with Turkish Shia roots) that came from Iran 200 years ago. I saw the movie today, but personaly I preffer the book, I mean big time, the movie is just not as organic as the writing of Hosseini, the booked really touched me, not the movie, the movie is just ok
