Ares was in love with Xena, he even gave up his immortality to save Eve (xena's daughter) and Gabrielle so a)she wouldn't feel the pain of losing them and b)so she wouldn't die [xena was given the power to kill the Gods but that power only lasts as long as Eve is alive. Eve 'died' when xena was in a middle of a fight with Athena and Ares didn't want xena to die as well, hence him giving up his immortality so she could kill Athena]
I believe he really did love Xena but being the God of war.....
All you need to do is download RealPlayer and then when you drag your mouse over any youtube video, you'll be able to download that.
