Can someone help me identify a song? The Lyrics go "The ache I bear for you Mary Ann.....The ship is waiting and the wind blows free" I heard it on the radio and I tried googling and it says Marianne Faithfull sings it and it's called mary Ann...but I cannot find it ANYWHERE, Tried on here, Itunes, rhapsody. Can anyone point me in the right direction if it is indeed Marianne that sings it?
@fpngan Go to this Files Tube Lyrics web site. Type in fare thee well, my own true love in the search and about the third song down (past the Bob Dylan) is one by Marianne Faithfull. This is it, I think.
Faithfull was born in Hampstead, London. Her father, Major Dr. Robert Glynn Faithfull, was a British military officer and college professor in psychology.[2] Her mother, Eva von Sacher-Masoch, Baroness Erisso, was originally from Vienna, with aristocratic roots in the Habsburg Dynasty and Jewish ancestry on her maternal side.[
Erisso was a ballerina for the Max Reinhardt Company during her early years, and danced in productions of works by the German theatrical duo Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill.[4] Faithfull's maternal great great uncle was Leopold von Sacher-Masoch, the 19th century Austrian nobleman whose erotic novel, Venus in Furs, spawned the word "masochism".
I've inherited the title Baroness Sacher-Masoch—it comes from one of my great uncles who gave his name to masochism."[6] (In fact German and Hungarian noble titles could not be transmitted by females except in very rare cases, so Faithfull is NOT a baroness under German or Hungarian nobiliary laws.)
Is this song from the same CD as the picture? I have the CD in the picture, it has 20 tracks but not this one !!! Thanks for posting amazing that I never heard it before.
