This woman is an idiot. Like many so-called health experts, she doles out some misleading information, such as the idea that high-fat foods will not help you lose weight. Actually, if you want to lose weight, you need to eat foods such as eggs, bacon, cheese, steak, etc. The foods you should avoid are those that contain sugar, starches, and refined carbohydrates, such as bread, pasta, rice, and potatoes. She is correct that you should not use hydrogenated oils, though.
The egg was there but she never mentioned it. Eggs, especially hard boiled, are very good for you but I would limit the yolk and eat mostly the white part.
Some good points... but, what to do when you have eaten these foods... like when you've indulged over the holidays? And, even when you are avoiding these "bad" foods, the body is exposed to toxins from the environment, which cause weight gain. Try total body cleansing.

@bd5035 Eggs in MODERATION are great. You want to find free range eggs, because even though they're more expensive, they're more nutritious. Eggs are a good source of vitamin A, B1, B12, D and E as well as folate, phosphorus, zinc and iron (and even vitamin D!). A standard egg also contains around the same amount of protein as a serve of meat, but if you're diabetic or have high cholesterol you'll want to speak with a dietitian first...

That is awful advice, If it was that easy so many people wouldn't be overweight. It is true that self control is important but simply eating less is not sustainable. You can eat less one meal but then start overeating the next meal. The solution lies in eating foods that contain alot of protein and have minimal saturated fats and sugars. Furthermore people need several hours of excersize to expend enough calories and how many people have enough time to do such things? It just won't work.

Some foods you should be eating MORE off rather than less. And it's great that you lost weight but keep in mind that you could just as easily be losing water rather than body fat or the more potentially dangerous visceral fat.

This is stupid. Just stay away from fast food, soda, processed foods and microwavables and you will be fine. And also exercise daily to keep calories from turning into fat.
Don't avoid nutrient-dense foods just because of the calorie count! If you cut down on grains and eliminate sugar and processed foods, your calorie intake won't actually be that much. You need protein to be healthy! Fat is not bad for you. eating fat doesn't make you fat; eating processed, high-carb, empty calorie foods is what will make you fat.

The formula to weight loss is easy...Eat less & exercise more! If you remember this on your weight loss journey it'll be a piece of cake* (which you can eat but not the whole damn thing. lol.) Why the heck is there an EGG w/ foods to avoid. Everything else is completely obvious... but eggs? No way. Even the Cholesterol in eggs is good if you are exercising. Contrary to popular belief Yolks ( from free run eggs ) or very very good for you. I eat amongst other things for breakfast foods 6 egg whites and 2 Regular eggs. The only reason I don't eat 8 eggs is because it can get high in calorie intake when your only eating 2100-2700 depending on goals.

Have you ever heard of high glycemic foods that spike insulin? It's not as simple as a calorie out/in. Using an olympic athlete world record holder is not the best example as a person that works a nine to five.
@youngfred116 well, let's take insuline as an example of why high gi foods are bad. as long as you work out a lot you will lower that insulin anyway. So it still comes down to just eating less than you burn up and working out. Of course a healthy diet is better, but for weight loss, amounts of food is more important. I don't think people understand that if you eat that big mac it's calories might be the same as eating nutrious all day but the amount of vitamins, minerals, antiox, efa's, bad fat, etc far out weights just the calories alone. Fats are good for you, you just need to limit how much you intake, 1/3 of your daily intake should be saturated 2/3's unsaturated, She should have been teaching people how to calculate their caloric intakes, such as check how much is in your food from what fat 1 g = 9 calories while a gram of a carb or protein is only 3 calories, meaning you can measure your food and ESTIMATE how much you take in

That is awful advice, If it was that easy so many people wouldn't be overweight. It is true that self control is important but simply eating less is not sustainable. You can eat less one meal but then start overeating the next meal. The solution lies in eating foods that contain alot of protein and have minimal saturated fats and sugars. Furthermore people need several hours of excersize to expend enough calories and how many people have enough time to do such things? It just won't work.

Some foods you should be eating MORE off rather than less. And it's great that you lost weight but keep in mind that you could just as easily be losing water rather than body fat or the more potentially dangerous visceral fat.

Don't avoid nutrient-dense foods just because of the calorie count! If you cut down on grains and eliminate sugar and processed foods, your calorie intake won't actually be that much. You need protein to be healthy! Fat is not bad for you. eating fat doesn't make you fat; eating processed, high-carb, empty calorie foods is what will make you fat.

The formula to weight loss is easy...Eat less & exercise more! If you remember this on your weight loss journey it'll be a piece of cake* (which you can eat but not the whole damn thing. lol.) Now put the rest of those chips and dip down and bust a sweat!!! (5-6 days a week for 1 hour!! Add resistance training and interval cardio sessions and you'll see your body change quickly. Why the heck is there an EGG w/ foods to avoid. Everything else is completely obvious... but eggs? No way. Even the Cholesterol in eggs is good if you are exercising. Contrary to popular belief Yolks ( from free run eggs ) or very very good for you. I eat amongst other things for breakfast foods 6 egg whites and 2 Regular eggs. The only reason I don't eat 8 eggs is because it can get high in calorie intake when your only eating 2100-2700 depending on goals.

You don't want to avoid saturated fats you wan't to avoid eating from unhealthy animals. It was moving several years ago that saturated fats do not lead to heart disease. Eating unhealthy especially sugar leads to heart disease. Not all but 95% of the information in this is false. Of course you can expect this from expert village.

lets see, umm , maybe you should know what you're talking about before you type. You can lose weight on ANY diet. I lost 30 pounds but i have never had trouble losing weight when i wanted to. Diets are stupid, you have to make it a lifestyle. Are you going to continue eating that stuff? Its hi fat, hi protein, hi cholesterol and hi sodium. Good choice :)

Have you ever heard of high glycemic foods that spike insulin? It's not as simple as a calorie out/in. Using an olympic athlete world record holder is not the best example as a person that works a nine to five.

So it still comes down to just eating less than you burn up and working out. Of course a healthy diet is better, but for weight loss, amounts of food is more important. I don't think people understand that if you eat that big mac it's calories might be the same as eating nutrious all day but the amount of vitamins, minerals, antiox, efa's, bad fat, etc far out weights just the calories alone. For example, my metabolic type is a fast oxidizer, meaning I burn carbs very quickly. Fats are good for you, you just need to limit how much you intake, 1/3 of your daily intake should be saturated 2/3's unsaturated, She should have been teaching people how to calculate their caloric intakes, such as check how much is in your food from what fat 1 g = 9 calories while a gram of a carb or protein is only 3 calories, meaning you can measure your food and ESTIMATE how much you take in
