Much of American science came from Nazi scientists who worked overtime for Hitler. America does not have some kind of monopoly on science. Without America, science would have undoubtedly evolved differently, but who is to say it would have been backwards? We would have never went to the moon without the onset of World War 2, that doesn't mean that the world would have been 50 years behind without Adolph Hitler.
