  • mantap........

  • can it hold the t2i with a bigger lens?

  • Is it possible to pivot the camera with you wrist like on a tripod, or do you have to turn your body and have to camera "pan"?

  • where to buy this one.. any shops in India selling this ...

    info pls

  • what if i try rotate/orbit camera ?

  • You dont need to autofocus.. shoot at a very small aperture and everything will be in focus.

  • @twayblade1 -walks inside- AW SNAP

  • @CameraHelper Hahah agreed

  • the problem is, this camera has no autofocus. I still do not know how to stabilize and focus a video on my canon T2i :(

  • i own a stabilizer similar to this, and i have a problem with the fact that you pretty much can't turn the camera with it... i think thats just the way these stabilizers function, does anyone have a solution to this? i was thinking about maybe just making a fig rig as this allows for more agile camera movements but would sacrifice some of the stability.... if anyone has a better way to have a stabilizer that can turn please reply

  • thanks dude =) I have this figured out and almost make my own hand-made Camera Stabilizer =))

  • Can you turn with it? I dont think so...

  • @hockeyfrisyr Just use two hands?

  • thanks for the video. Could you tell name of the song pls?

  • I saw this on Discovery!!! Steadicam invented this!

  • How heavy is this?

  • How do you pull focus? I mean, once you put your hand on the cam, that counteracts what the stabilizer is doing.

  • @dtwhitney

you need a wireless follow focus system/electronic follow focus. So that you have a remote to a motor pulling your focus for you while you keep your hands free from the camera.

  • @dtwhitney You buy a Sony and let it autofocus while you shoot.

  • @dtwhitney narrow iris or maintain consistant distance between subject and lens

  • @calypsopainting Good idea. Thanks.

  • @dtwhitney use a small aperture (big number) and a wide angle lens so there is a very wide range of what's in focus

  • @pyr018 You can but it's really limiting...

  • @davidlanning2 It's not all that limiting. Unless you want a short DoF, then it works very well. Also, imo, a short DoF does not look very good with moving/flying shots so you really aren't all that limited. If you set the aperature to about 13 with an 18mm lens, and the focus to infinity, everything from 4ft-infinity is in focus.

  • @dtwhitney It cant do everything.

  • I bought video camera stabilizer and it is absolute crap.

You can only adjust the camera position back and forth and since the mounting hole is off center on DSLRS, the balance is completely off. The only way to counteract this is to have a super heavy weight (shown in the video) but this doesnt make it a good stabilzer, its still off balanced. This thing costs about $100 bucks but spend a bit more for something that actually works! i sent mine back for a full refund.

  • @timofreee you bought THIS mount or some other brand?

  • i wish i could see the footage from begining

  • every time you take the camera with left hand is because he lost the control of the stabilizer

  • check out the NEW CAMERA MOUNT CLAMP

  • 18 people like a little motion sickness!

  • that is awesome. Check out the New Camera Mount Clamp.

  • для стедикама нужна балансировка * ценр _ а то будет качатся, понял когда сам сделал ).

  • @belynochka

балансировка снизу или сверху ? скинь ссылку на пример

  • @nicklipus Dude, I don't think he can read Russian. But the balancing, looks like, at the bottom.

  • This is the HAGUE stabilizer, y'all.

  • I have it and love it but notice in the video he does not make any turns, thats basically the only problem with this thing, when you make turns you have to make the nice and slow otherwise your camera will keep spinning when you go straight again because its on a ball bearing but with some practice you will get better at turns and you will get shots like the one he showed us in the video!

  • Where can I buy that little ball joint piece that the handle attaches to?

  • Thats cool! Check out this CAMERA CLAMP MOUNT on my page, it will mount just about anywhere and is small but strong.

  • is that good for short films ??

  • So WHERE THE FUCK can you purchase this in NYC????? No one seems to know.

  • what lens did you use in this video?

  • I could make one of these. How do you go round corners though?

  • you know where i can buy more weights

  • its like the merlin!

  • this is a scam I tried to buy it a couple times and they never sent it or answered any of our email and phone calls this product doesn't exist anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!.

  • @HDreamsProductions

I just recieved mine, I love it

  • see how they wanna trick you in going to this website! Im telling you I tried to buy it, sent the money and they NEVER sent it! it's a lie!.....

  • this is a scam I tried to buy it a couple times and they never sent it or answered any of our email and phone calls this product doesn't exist anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!.

  • which stabilizer is this product and where can i get one, thanks.

  • @petenicezz merlin steadicam, but they cost soooo much! id reccomend making your own.

  • @xcode394 its the canon t2i, theres now a canon t3i u can grab this online for about $800 in US dollars

  • on what do you screw your camera so it doesnt fall of the rig?

  • thanks man, now i can do my own cribs video

  • How do you focus with that? Can you?

  • dude the video quailty of the camera is amazing! how much was it???

  • @xcode394

its a canon 550d, its a great entry level camera for photography or film use

  • @TheHazzer12 wait entry level?? that looks just like movie quality! how long can it film? theres alotta of great cameras out there like this but they can only film like 10 secs of stuff.

  • @xcode394

well its about £500 for the body so its entry level but very good quality, almost the same as a £1300 body :D

oh and i just use mine for photography but it can film for a long time even at 1080p quality :)

  • @xcode394 The Canon T2i can record 4GB's woth of one clip.

  • @xcode394 It can film upto about 12 minutes. It record 1080p at 24 frames per second or 30 frames per second. Also can film at 720p at 60 frames per second (great for slow motion).

  • @T2iFilmmaker would i have to buy a memory card or does it record up to 12 minutes all by itself? and would 4gb of memory be enough?

  • @xcode394 You want a Class 10 SDHC Card. I use an 8GB Sandisk card. It's about $24 with shipping on Ebay. The camera is capable of very filmlike images. It's the little brother of the Canon 5D Mark II, which is about $2,500 for the body only and was used to shoot the entire season finale of "House" on Fox. BTW, you can use a 4GB card, but make sure it's at least class 6 (preferably class 10). You will be able to record about 12 minutes of footage.

  • I tried to put one of these together with much frustration and distrust of the design. I'm using the Cam Caddie Scorpion to much success capturing some difficult shots.

  • It is still vertically shaky . .

  • Is this the HAGUE MMC MINI MOTION-CAM STABILIZER?

  • Shaky video stabilizer ( jello effect) is due to the type of lens you have on it, please don't discourage a camera because of something you don't fully know about. I know because I sell them and the DSLR packages are meant first for still pictures, then film. but just keep in mind it anyone plans to buy one buy the bods and lens separate the stock lens are usually very cheep,

  • @JVforeverful jello effect it has nothing to do with lens type !!! but with sensor type, CMOS sensors produce jello effect and CCD dont .

  • Can i a Make in House?? haha.. xD

  • why!?? o.O'

  • where can I buy this?

  • Looks pretty good, I've been using the Cam Caddie scorpion and it seems like it can capture the same quality shots but i can also add lights and mics and monitors. How much is this thing? I paid $38 for my cam caddie.

  • So how do you turn? Or what happens when the camera starts turning on its own? It seems like you don't really have any pan control.

  • Where can I buy this????

  • how can i get this?

  • you can turn corners with it ,cause if not it would be spinning around in his hands....duh

  • He seems a little too experienced taking the camera over the shower wall...

  • Does anyone know if this is only useful with that particular camera size and lens? It seems that if you put on a 55-200mm lens, you'd be screwed...

  • @FTWandstuff I believe you would just have to add more weight.

  • does this work with a 500d?

  • @leo2372: This will work with ANY DSLR video camera, as long as the lenses aren't too heavy. Stock lens weight would be perfect.

  • Nice stuff, I'm about to get my camera soon and later get some of this tools !!

  • it's like he's doing a magic show....

  • i have this... cant balance it with my samsung q10 camcorder

  • thats a Hague steadicam stabilizer. for 130$. cheaper than most and made in UK or was it england. Works decent but don't expect miracles like a real merlin

  • Careful of the balljoint connection...they wear and come loose. I wouldnt trust it with my expensive camera

  • wHERE CAN I ORDER ONE FROM?

  • @LilB00nE go on ebay you will get one

  • What if you wanna go around the corner?

  • @xPendek then go around the corner...

  • @mazhas08 But the handle thing is loose so you kill any shock, but that means if you want to make a corner, you still have to touch the camera what probably leads to a shake effect

  • Would this work with the new Sony HX100V? Are there different weights/models to counter the weight of the camera?

    Really would like one!

  • V not badass, this thing is a piece of shit. impossible to get stable.

  • @supranick01 looks stable enough in the video.

  • ordering it now. badass!.... and sick crib

  • Here's the link guys!

    cheesycam(dot)c0m/canon-t2i-camera-stabilizer-video/

  • @sk84starz Thanks mite !

  • thats awesome, such a ingeneous invention

  • Can you ship it to Saudi Arabia?

  • @AldossariEOS yes you can.. i just got my MMC yesterday. :-) fr. Al-Khobar

  • @JoeBilalx o..m..g, r u kidding me? freaking awesome!

  • i want to get this one,.

  • How does a stabilizer work, i never understood how it stops the video from wiping or stretching or whatever it does when you turn quickly. Some please help with an explanation. THANKS!! WOO! :)

  • @bangbangboogybaby it's physics and mechanics, the bottom 'weight' is the key of all (to counter balance the weight of the camera on top) the handling part is 'free to move' because of that, then the connection between handling part and under-camera is also important to 'smoth' movements or similar...

  • i still see alot of camera shake when he's rotating the handle in circular motion

  • can you angle it to look down or up, left or right

  • Look at the Lensse on Amazon.

  • i get lost in the link on were to buy this stabilizer

  • I cant seem to banalnce my camera.. because the lens is so damn heavy

  • Why did youtube disable the audio???

  • Will it work the the 60D, please someone let me know.

  • Will it work well with the 60d?

  • ordered this, cant wait

  • how are you going to pull focus? this would only work for shoulder high fisheye or extremely bright almost closed aperture shots.

  • I would like a steadicam but this gimble sort has also always confused me. As you suggest how are you going to pull focus?

  • @OIyouLITTLEherbert the whole idea of a steadycam is to never actually touch the camera. you painstakingly balance your camera on top and then only hold the handle. zooming, focus rack, or adjusting anything will jar the camera nullifying the product. if you change a lens then you need to rebalance the whole system. if you're using a kit lens, everytime you zoom on or out, the whole system needs to be rebalanced. good luck

  • whered u buy this from

  • I guess if you don't plan on panning or tilting...

  • wow SICK

  • i want three of these!

  • It's not in the description... it's in the tag line.....

  • The Steadycam used is the Hague MMC - best for the price!!

  • Would the 60D be to heavy? Please reply as i really want it for my 60D but worries the 60D is too heavy.

  • ...there's nothing on your site about where to buy it.....it just links to ebay...and its $160 there

  • What's the point? The Canon's lack of auto focus makes it practically useless for video, except for under perfect conditions where you can actually see enough detail in the screen to manual focus. Ugghhh.... get an A33/55 instead.

  • @a1mint nonsense

  • @jpippinator Not nonsense at all. Canon's focus system during live view mode is absolutely dismal. It's contract based and it hunts and seeks, and often misses its target, having to restart the whole hunt-seek-guess over again. It has to raise the brightness and contrast levels in order for it to detect the sharpness, interfering even more with a video.

The new Sony Alphas however, is capable of a much better focus system. It's fast, effective, and precise.

    They're clearly ahead.

    Sorry fanboy!

  • @a1mint @a1mint Search 'Black and Yellow' by Wiz Khalifa, the whole thing was done on a 7D and 5D

  • @a1mint Search 'Black and Yellow' by Wiz Khalifa, the whole thing was done on a 7D and 5D

  • @disgustika That's great. But the 5D is *very* expensive and still does not offer usable auto focus during recording. If you're really good at manually focusing then fine. But I'm sure it's easy to mess up and end having bits out of focus here and there. It also takes all your concentration.

Not at all practical for consumer use. Try recording the kids running around inside and outside in the yard.

The only decent choice seems to be the Sony a33/55 if you're on a budget and want pictures too.

  • @a1mint Canon's lack of auto focus makes it practically the best dslr with video. Professionals BARELY use auto focus and will gladly pay a thousand bucks for manual focusing. AI auto focus can't beat manual focus.

  • @beneaththeairwaves On Sony you can turn off the auto focus, and then you can manual focus to your heart's content.

Granted that video actually looks better on the 5D and T2i/550D even, than what the Sony produces, and the manual options and the the digital zoomed in VGA, and the true 60 fps on the 720p, gives the Canon the upper hand in everything - except - that DAMN lack of auto focus - making it completely useless for family use.

  • @a1mint I totally agree. Canon dslrs with video is not for family use. It is a PRO video camera where you can manual control everything. Sony is more suited for normal use. And its autofocus really comes in handy when need to follow the subject. I'm not biased. Actually, I have a Sony HDR-UX1 as a backup video cam when my 7D overheats.

Overall, considering the design and functions of Canon HDSLRs are pro level, the lack of autofocus is not a handicap. It's just PROs don't need them.

  • @beneaththeairwaves

How do you pull focus with this steadicam?

  • @OIyouLITTLEherbert you need a wireless follow focus if you want to use a steadicam. Steadycams are practically useless without that.

  • @beneaththeairwaves So, for situations where the focusing is generally relaxed, and if you're a pro, doing things like make documentaries or shoot commercials, by all means, the Canon is the better choice. I've tried both, and the Canon is much nicer.

But the Sony is also nice. You give up quite a bit. But it is simply not possible to track around running toddlers and pets in the backyard using manual focus without a constant hunting and seeking and off focus.

  • @beneaththeairwaves But Sony is making some leaps forwards. Sony is Minolta. Make no mistake about it, Canon is not more capable than Sony. Sony is doing things that outdoes Canon, and vice versa, none is superior over the other. That goes for BOTH photo and video.

Btw, as for pure photo quality, I could not prove that either one is better than the other. Any real advantages can only be achieved through lenses at this point. They're both just that good.

  • @a1mint

SONY have their fingers in all pies and are unable to concentrate on video.

Whereas on trhe other hand, LENSES are CANON's thing !!!

  • @ThePoonFish Sony VG10 is pretty good. The Sony a33 and a55 and nex are the only exchangeable lens cameras on the market that does auto focus properly.

And you'd be surprised how good Sony lenses are. Sony bought Minolta and continues their expertise.

Sony alpha mounts are compatible with Minolta AF mounts. There are a lot of really good lenses available for the Sonys, like the Minolta beercans, and the famous secret handshake lens (28-135), with unmatchable quality just about.

  • @ThePoonFish But not trying to knock Canon either. I've had the T2i with the 18-135 lens and it's a *very* good combination. An amazing lens.

  • @beneaththeairwaves

rrrr, but......to be able to use manual focus properly and easily, a monitor screen of 5" or above is needed to get a true easy to use manual focus. When using the usual 3" or so lcd's its tricky to be sure you have the manual focus correct, so AI aotofocus can be better at times.

Although having said that, i agree that if it can be monitored well, manual focus is unbeatable.

  • where can I buy this?

  • @Caglehead268 You can get this on ebay, just search dslr stabilizer

  • why are they so over priced though?

  • @jesweeten i think we pay for the idea.

  • *applaud* amazing guys, simply amazing!

  • "Disabled the audio" nice one! I fell for it. Good site though.

  • now where's the video of this guy handling an AK47

  • Really Great Invention !

    It is Just Balance !

  • @MsJas666 nope. it hardly holds the t2i with a 50mm prime.

  • it seems a little tilted

  • If you want a pocket-sized camera stabilizer for pocket video cameras check out the readysteady. It's inexpensive and really works.

  • do you think this could stabilize a 60D?

  • I would like to see you turn and walk into one of those rooms. Is that even possible or will the camera still point at the bathroom?

  • I have this same set up, and yes, but its slow and you have to move your entire body as well as your hand.

  • smooth as tits

  • would it work for a bigger camcorder, (vg10)

  • it's a hague mmc

  • its in the description but i can't seem to find the order page on the site. just a bunch of blogs about DIY.

  • NOW THAT IS PURE GENIOUSNESS !

  • Hi Nana, how many weights you put those to balance the cam?

  • Too bad you cannot pan or tilt the camera while using it...Kind of a useless invention if you ask me lol

  • @christopherfilms2009 stupid! then using tripod and moving like this idiot Lozl =))

  • @christopherfilms2009 your stupidx2 pretty simple and basic with professional results..go ahead use the tripod in a tight confine spaces as in this video. No setup or takedown time taken away fr shooting video...mobility is the key...get the video!!!! great job Cheesycam keep it coming..

  • wow nice man, now i'm even more convinced to get the t2i, i was afraid of all that shakyness

  • Nice job finding the sweet spot.

  • is... merlin cam?
