  • name of the song and artist please?

  • Comment removed

  • liker at du har en CV subb der! :) tipper det låter bra!

  • Nice speakers for the sound quality how well will they do justice for Blu Ray/ DVD, TV, and video games?

  • @PolishExplorer they do just as good on movies as music:)

the only thing with them is poor bass

  • Yeah that hifi sounds great..... on my laptop!

  • lol how can you say cerwin vega they have a totally different sound and they look totally different

  • Cerwin vega...?

  • is that Suzane Vega?

  • I am aware of that, and that why they are so close to the wall.. but keep in mind these speakers have the bass port in front for that reason.. if it was behind then i would have to put them further away from the backwall:)

Cables was about 330 dollars for 6 meter so in my opinion they are good enough.

Only thing that does not fit at all is the harman kardon amplifier, poor shit quality:)

  • Nice set. Nice sound too, I quess.

But never place the speakers symmetrically. In your case, they are both about one and a half feet from the wall. This way, the (very) low waves are amplified too much by the room, since they bounce off the wall, then meet in the middle and amplify themselves. You should place one speaker about 1 foot and the other 2 or 2.5 feet away from the wall. Buying expensive speakers is one thing. Knowing what to do with them is another.....! ;-) And buy better cables !

  • @telescopereplicator I'm not sure your advice on assymetrical speaker placement is correct for this room -- in a symmetrical room and symmetrical listening position, speakers should be equidistant from each side wall so uneven reflections (and direct sound) don't throw off the stereo image. I do agree these ideally speakers should be placed farther forward to lower the bass buildup, and at least the front and side walls acoustically treated.

  • @nonagon1 Good comments. Thanks. I learn something every day. It never crossed my mind, nor have I ever heard with my own ears, that asymmetrical placement could mess up the placement of the instruments. That's the problem with audio: one solution creates a new problem. Round housings, f.i. Round housings are the best aerodynamic choice, but these balls also put the units further apart. But it also gives me pleasure, trying to find a solution, which can be found somewhere in the middle. ;-)

  • @telescopereplicator Thumbs up, its as i could say it myself:P

checket the cables, its van den hul cs-122.. I think it is alot cheaper now;p

  • @SvadaFilm <-- my other youtube account

  • Hey Check my Kef Reference Speakers on YOUTUBE

  • those speakers are 486$ US dollars on ebay.com

  • @destdest123 what? is that used or brand new ones?

i know norway is expencive but holy hell..

  • no actually atm akustikk.no have iq90 for about 2500$ US dollar.

havent checked ebay or any other place tho..

They just went up 500$ in price right after i bought mine

  • Wow amazing sound.

How much you payed for the speakers, the IQ90?

  • @destdest123 About 2000$ US dollar or 1500 Euro

  • @defektor666 Thanks. I thinking of adquiring one of those but i guess they should be cheaper now right?

  • like a dildo:D huhu;D

  • i want to be you!!! your louder than strictly come dancing and the asian tsunami all rolled into on night of explosive jizzing...... fair play

  • OH! for a moment there at the end I thought you were going to go in the toilet and draw one off! Nice system! Im still on the old Kef Q90's which with my Musical Fidelity is so easy to listen too and not overtly bright and tiring, Id like to try some iq90s as an update and compare !

  • nice setup mate

  • do these speakers have any cons? are they bright or harsh to the ears over long periods of time?

  • Nice setup man!

  • hello, can you tell me what is your subwoofer ?

  • My old man has a set of these and they truly are stunning.

  • simply-av. [ installed my kef 3005SE 5.1 system in london --- and done a fab job... all cables hidden...

  • Gosh even on my crappy pc speakers you can just hear the fidelity!!!

  • @WerdnaFaz I've been able to test my iq10 lately and im suprised over how good they are, they even give some amount of bass to the music..

Cant wait to get the hole set in my new house:)

  • sounds very clean

    kef's are very good

  • whats that song?

  • Read the title :)

    Its Dido - don't believe in love:P

  • i did right after i posted this. felt kinda stupid.

  • I got an email from KEF support. they told that the sponges are used to control the booming created by the lower bass when the speakers are placed too close to the wall or in the corner of a room. These sponges must be placed only in the bottom hole to stop booming.

  • Yep that is true, alot better defined than what i did last time i replayed you :P

tho i didnt know the sponge had to be placed in the button hole.

i tryed the sponges ones but i was better off without them.. bass is my biggest trubble where i live. got a svs pb12-nsd and still have alot of trubble.

  • Wow....clarity

  • sorry what was the camera that recorded?

  • JVC gz-ms100e

  • thanks :)

  • hi, the IQ90 have two holes.. one in the middle and one in the down for the woofer. The manual says it is correct to put the black sponge which comes with the pack into the subwoofer hole of the speaker. Did you checked about it? What is the use of that sponge?

  • The sponge is only to make the bass sound different.. if you have a concrete room i belive it would be most recommended to put the sponge in

  • hey buddy! I bought one last week. I am confuss on the manual. There are two black sponges comes in the pack and the diagram says it is right to put in the subwoofer hole of the IQ90. Do you have any idea on this?

  • sound really good but you need acoustic panels on wall for the room resonance.

  • Lovely. How do they do with music by themselves and without a subwoofer?

  • They do well themselves in smaller rooms and with a good amplifier. But they love a little help from a sub:)

  • I Just Love Kef Reference Speakers, they sound Fantastic : see my Video on Youtube I have the Kef Reference Model 3s in Rosewood powered by 2 Musical Fidelity SUPERCHARGERS with MF pre amp.

Please Subscribe to me and i will return the Subscribe Many Thanks..!! Enjoy your Music

  • clean open sound

  • Hvilken AVforumer er du da ?

  • Defektor

  • How loud are you running them. I bought the same set up and have never had them loud enough to see any visible excursion. Although, they are still pretty tight as they are only about 3 weeks (200-300 hrs) old.

  • Fine høyttalere du har.

  • Amazing Kefs sound great even on cam and perfect wooden surrounding for balanced acoustic vibration

  • what integrated amp or pre/power amp that you're using? they sound great even on your handycam. May I know how much the amplifiers?

  • Its a shitty Harman kardon avr 745.. ill go for an onkyo or pioneer as soon as my economy say i can:P

avr 745 is said to do 80 true watts on all ch and that true.. but its a bad match on a speaker like Kef:/ and it pulls 1,5KW out of the outlet at full power:) so its only power, nothing more actually.

  • which pioneer or onkyo model mate ??

  • great setup, i got the avr645 and am getting the avr7550hd this winter, cant wait. I'm using Infinity Beta series for speakers, not as good as urs lol

  • Thanks

  • are this better that Kilpsh, Polk or infinitive?

  • my neighbor have klipsch rf63, the only major diffrence is that mine are more open in the top tones that hes, and he has alot more bass.

What speaker is best is just an opinion, no real answer on that one:)

  • i love kefs because the sound quality is always so clear and open the cabinets are great and i think the real wood helps with this.

  • What Loudspeaker-cables do you use? I' am impressed by the clarity of the mids and highs. In fact i use an Kef3005se Set with an AV-Receiver and Chord Carnival Silverscreen cables, but it sounds not very natural.

  • Van den hul cs-122 cables on the front.

im not familiar with the Carnival Silverscreen cables.

  • How much this kef speakers?

  • 1850 euro or 2650 dollar.

  • nice....kefs are great

  • Nice Stuff :).. Great Music too :)

  • I didn't know the 90's came out already. I got the KEF iq9. Is that still good? What about for movies? and are you bi amping?

  • I think they came out allmoust a year ago.

only actual improvent is the bass i think.

The speakers work very well in movies i have iq90-30-10 and iq60c:)

and im only using this crappy reciver so no bi amping yet, hope to replace this with some onkyo reciver with pro logic ||z

  • thanks for the reply! I just got a onkyo 607 with the iq 9's and a iq60c i'm not sure if i should bi amp.

  • ..............For discussion, audio questions or even just to chat about speakers and audio

    checkout YOUTUBE page 226956.................

  • Very clear but same as the other vid, if you like bass check out mines........

  • Other vid is probably my old speakers.

There are also a few changes as i now have a SVS PB12-NSD

  • i love this kef

  • Do those iQ90's have weak bass/not bass at all?

Because I had iQ9's and they had no bass at all, high and midrange was very lovely but that's about it.

  • They have some bass, not much but its there. i am probably going to buy a SVS PB12 nsd or two to make it more fun to watch movies and listen to music.

I think the midrange pays up for the low bass and high senitivity.

  • q7/q9, iq7/iq9 have some problem with bass. iq70/iq90 much more bass. But first of all play them with some powerfull stereo amplifter!!! Not with multi channel amplifters (home cinema). You are amatures of audio world!!!

  • Who is amateur, who is not. I tried iQ9's with multichannel amp and with Forte Model 55 which is good and powerful stereoamp. iQ9's bass is "tumb, tumb" because the cabinet is empty, there is nothing to help acoustic, wool nor anything. They're just cheaply built.

  • Try something better than this forte. Good stereo amp will improve better dymamic and bass. You'll try you'll see :) KEF IQ9 are great. KEF IQ90 even better!

  • I have thought about a stereo amplifier but i think ill wait with that, harman kardon is a good reciver. right now all speakers have HPF 80hz

  • Yea, they're midrange and highs are great but the bass sounds like it's coming from bucket, because of the empty cabinet. Forte is good enough for any speakers and if not, speakers are to blame.

  • Nice gnomes

  • nice system 5 stars

  • Thanks

  • You will like them :)

  • My IQ5's will come in this week, i'm excited

  • btw jeg hører vanligvis ikke på dido..

    om noen lurte.
