A few hints to improve... Get rid of the bevelling and shadowing on the text, leave it small and simple. Perhaps put it on overlay or lower opacity for effect. Make the border a solid black without a fade gradient, and have it at the top and bottom only, leave the sides blank. If you wanna see an example, have a look at my tutorial.

doesn't really matter about the contents. A white box with text in it is still a sig, for example.

most likely due to the fact that that is several times the size of a screen. try to make the dimensions a lot smaller.

there is no 'specific' area for sigs. it's just a normal image. if you have photoshop already, what's the problem? this should work fine.

they can to an extent. sure, not a GREAT extent, but if you know what you are doing, you can get some great stuff using mainly brushes. However, as I've said many times, this is a tutorial to teach basic photoshop skills etc. not how to make godly sigs using only brushes.

For mah peeps who are too cheap to get PS CS whatever, and got PS Elements instead, for the coloration, go to Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Hue/Saturation and use the hue bar to choose the color, also, you can change the saturation and lightness of your sig.

well for starters you don't have the brush set I have, and second, make sure your layout is the same by going to window -> workspace -> (choose the one that says default or somesuch)

I think we all get a bit tired of nOObs stealing photos and adding a few effects and grunge brushes to a 500x100 pixels(?) image and calling themselves artist....tsk....tsk

Because let's face it... with just one drag of the mouse you can turn a blank canvas into something you teenagers drool over and that's even without any effects or other things. Come back when you can show real skills, like drawing a human portrait or body from imagination...*sigh*

go to the image drop down, and check that it is in RGB colour mode. that might help. you may need to convert from say, black and white to greyscale first though.

yes, just open the picture file, and copy it, paste it into the signature, and it should be on its own layer too, so you can move it around.

erm... well its not legal... what you would do is get the trial for photoshop, then search for a keygen, which generates a full version key which you use for the program. Im not suggesting you do this, as it is not legitimate, but you could do if you really needed photoshop.

image ready has completely different features. One thing you can use it for is animation; just put each frame in a layer in photoshop, click move to image ready, and select make frames from layers in the animation window. XD
