oh im just saying that im too young to have lived in the 80's but i've seen pictures and videos during the 80's and my aunties and uncles can describe every year :P
lmao i was listening to it too and i was like ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm How is that maroon 5!???? then like around 1:20 it sounded like Adam!???? is tthat like Kara's flowers or something!?
3 of kara's flowers' songs are better than anything maroon 5 put out. i'm not entranced by the socal soft rock thing. this is one. freakin musically gifted as all he|| though.
this is a true thing that happens! its not a chain letter! its kinda scary at first but it really works!! paste this message into 3 comments and press ALT F4 and your crushes name will appear on the screen!!! its soo wierd!

The older song and most of their kara's flowers songs had a HUGE beatles influence to them, and you can definately hear it. The newer ones have different influences, but some still have some beatles to them but are more soul and r&b.
old vs new - you should hear the Kara's Flowers version of "Tangled" vs. the Maroon 5 version of the SAME EXACT SONG "Tangled" off the M5 "Songs About Jane" freshman album. The earlier one sounds very secondary school vs the one off the M5 album, way cool. The Kara's Flowers version of Tangled is usually hanging around places like LimeWire.
Is anyone else reminded of Christmas when hearing the beginning of the new version? Those certain beats at the very start...if anyone is could you tell me which carol you're reminded of?
Adam considers Kara's Flowers and Maroon 5 to betwo different bands. they don't play KF songs anymore live, he mentioned recently he felt writing another song called "Not Falling Apart" was okay since he wrote the other for a "different band". though the old song was certainly better than nythigthey have out now
I was thinking the exact same thing! When looking at the song track list for the new M5 album, I was like wait was this a Kara's Flowers song? Yet I love both versions.
the only difference between maroon5 and kara's flowers is only of 2 people one is the drummer and they added a pianist.because the other drummer had left their band, he broke his shoulder while playing rugby.
James, the guitarist, was not a member of Kara's Flowers, either. Ryan, the drummer, was for awhile, but was officially replaced in 2006 with Matt. The pianist you refer to is Jesse - he played guitar for Kara's Flowers. Of Maroon 5's original line up, the only difference was the addition of James.
Really, the "old version" is called Hold on :)
