This record is not that impressive at all when I drove fast times with bowser every single corner I turned was near perfect there are about 6 times in this video where he goes quite a way out from the kerb. I just never jumped over the feather jump

Dear allinjim123,

The driver went a little wide because he was zig zagging the kart while holding R to generate mini boosts which is an advanced technique. This vid is 3 yrs old.The record has since reached 1'01"6x and even 1'01"5x.

Hey, can someone give me a short introduction how to jump over to the Platform please? We try this so many times but it still don't work, in many Videos you can see that the driver lean a little bit to the side, but he don't slide at this moment, and then he kick over to the Platform! We try this in many ways, jump over the gap with jump ourself and so on! Thanks for a little tipp! And by the way, sorry for my english, but i think you understand! =)

This is bad. This is not the pal snes game. As chequered start line is bigger. And there are 2 yellow boosters whilst game has 1 yellow booster. I think you need to change the title vid mate

Hi,

This is infact the PAL version so it is correct. The video was done by the Dutch Champion of Super Mario Kart and we have seen him drive live on many occasions also. There is a technique to slide around the corners and prolong the slide by zig zagging the dpad to generate a small boost, this helps to clear the gap easier,though it can be done with a well timed hop.

Thanks for getting in touch- But like I said there are only 1 yellow coloured hop on this track not 2 as in your video. So this is not the pal 1992 version

Are you referring to the two yellow bumpers? There is one after the 2nd turn left, the driver hops over it. And also one after the 3rd turn left (which has a small gap in the road, before the big jump). The driver hops over this aswell. The two yellow bumpers are present, and they are hopped over as they slow you down if you touch them.

Even faster has been done also on PAL version, there is a 1:01.63 video. Please let me know if you have any questions. I assure you this is PAL.

hmmm i can't stick it(shortcut) either,Pal version with donkey kong jr.....how come?... i mean my lap times without the cut are around 00,13,40 so i know how to ride..still i can't stick it...any suggestions???

Bowser and CK Jr are the fastest characters. They have the slowest acceleration but highest top speed. Toad and Koopa Troopa are the opposite, fast acceleration but slowest top speed.
