Also the winter solstice celebration is nothing like Christmas that is celebrated today.

One of the greatest things about the show is that the writers actually read the comics. I distinctly remember seeing that basketball scene (same clothes and all) back in the comics. The scene in the comics was more comical when Rogue got pissed and called Gambit a cheater for using his secondary powers or something.
