Ghosts'n Goblins No Miss All Clear by Davil 1/3

Have you ever owned/played an actual Ghosts n Goblins / Makai board? And then played it in MAME? I got a 2nd board last month and I am looking to put in in a cab soon and I will show you the noticeable differences. For one, I see no 'pause glitch' in MAME and anyone with a dedicated GnG / MM board can tell you that often when there are too many sprites present the gameplay differs . I dunno, guess you'll have to take my word or leave it for now. Dedicated GnG owners get in here! LOL

@newkillergenius according to MAME there are a lot of different versions of this game, maybe yours is not the same version played in this video (I don't remember which rom davil used) :).

Yeah, not sure. What is odd is that board was all in English, had 'Ghosts n Goblins' title screen, but had the crucifix weapon instead of the shield. 3 of the roms on the board were labeled "MM". The rest were unlabeled. I can PM you a photo of the board (if/when I find it) and let you take a look... I can tell you the game was harder than hell. I had the difficulty set to hard but I have been able to get to the 2nd Red Guard on 1 Arthur usually..but not on this haunted PCB.....

Regardless of the year (who fucking cares???) playing this game emulated is NOT PLAYING THE REAL GAME. I don't give a rat fart who says otherwise- look it up. Read an emulation wiki (or a book for chrissake) and get educated. The actual board is nothing like this at all. If I have to make a video of my machine for you to understand I will. IT IS NOT THE SAME THING. This was still a good accomplishment, I'm not trouncing ArcadeExtreme's gameplay at all, just making a point.

And my point is that you're right, but in 2010 emulators are (for 90% of players) the only way to play these old glories and preserve great runs like this one!

@newkillergenius Interesting, what do you mean exactly? I'm the type of guy that prefers playing on actual systems to emulated ones, no matter what the cost. But from what I've seen, as long as the emulator isn't insanely inaccurate, the actual game engine should run the same as on the actual hardware.

This is an amazing game even though it is hard. Capcom did two interesting things. They made a true challenge for arcade fans and the music was amazing for an 85 arcade. Even though Sega had the best arcade music at that time, Capcom really outdid themselves. Thank you Capcom for this game.

Good job man. The one thing I always wondered about this game when I had it on the NES (and played it in the arcade) was why the hell was he about to get it on with the princess in the middle of a cemetary. I mean what kind of lines did he feed her to get her to put out in a place like that. Arthur is a pimp!

This is far superior to the NES version. The only thing the NES has is the fact that their music sounds evil.

Hi thank you very much all for yours comment.

I want to say this is the hardest version of ghosts n goblins, occidental version (makaimura, jappan version is to much easy for me) and I played with Wolfmame (special version with No pause, No cheat and No save states). This is not a time attack video, but instead a No miss all clear video, 2 loop= happy end.

See also my Xain'd Sleena and all other AEX video. We never use save states or cheat.
